Notes/Commercial Description:
A West Coast IPA that features Amarillo and Simcoe hops "in harmony," giving a light, floral aroma. Duet is nicely bitter with the perfect amount of malt concealed behind the hoppy goodness. Immensely drinkable, amazingly light on its feet.

Bomber into an IPA glass at fridge temp. I've attempted to put the hype out of my head.

Look: strikingly clear golden orange. Medium carb activity, but no head.

Smell: bouquet of tropical fruits—kiwi, tangerine, pineapple. I got some grassy/piny notes initially, but they disappeared quickly. Smells cloyingly sweet.

Taste: much less sweet than anticipated, thankfully! Piney, bitter, tropical fruits, confectioner's sugar, grass, caramel, bready malt... a bonanza of flavors, but well-balanced and delicious. Still a tad overly sweet for my tastes.

Feel: this is the weak spot of this beer for me. Maybe this is a bad bottle somehow, but seems pretty flat. Honestly, the feel does nothing to help the beer, and a fair bit to detract from it. Put the mouthfeel of a MBC pale on this sucker and it would be heaven.

Overall: this is a really tasty beer, but probably not the tastiest I've had. Combined with the lackluster mouthfeel, and I'd say this is a rung below some of the best IPAs out there now. Still darn good.
