Growler courtesy of yourefragile...I probably am, but he is not.
I'm a fan of a good Amber and this is certainly one of them. Poured into Hill Farmstead wine glass and this looks typical for the style. Amber in color, believe that shit or not. Nice off-white head. Smell is rather hoppy with lots of citrus. Taste is like a well done hopped up amber. Not as hoppy as any of their IPA/DIPAs, but I would drink this bitch quite frequently if it were available around yonder. Carbonation and mouthfeel are spot on. Another tasty beverage from Alpine.

On tap at the brewpub in Alpine.
Appearance: Clear red-amber with a durable bone-colored head that leaves a fairly full coating on the glass.
Aroma: Hops (mainly herbal).
Flavor: sweet up front and only modearate bitterness at its peak. Obvious sweet malts balancing a relatively high hop load. The hop flavor builds over time peaking in the aftertaste. Very malty for APA style.
Feel: Light-medium body with near medium carbonation.
O: a bold and hoppy red ale. Recommended.
