Tap at Toronado SD. Poured a clear yellow with a dense, white head leaving very good sticky lace. Aroma of bitter high-alpha acid hops, earthy hops, moving to sweat and brine almost in the nose. Taste is lots of bitter, earthy hops. Not much of a backbone. I really liked fresh Duet a hell of a lot better and will need to try this again in a fresh bomber. 7/6/2010 6/4/7/4/14=3.5
22oz courtesy of peteinsd. Great pour with a dense, fluffy white head. Good lacing. Fresh citrus hop aroma- juicy oranges and grapefruit and mango peel. Taste is watery, seltzer, dry, not much to it. Some slight butterscotch comes into balance but not nearly enough and the end result is bitter seltzer water with not enough of a malt backbone. 8/22/2010 7/4/7/3/14=3.5
Overall, I think Duet is superior to Pure and Expo Hoppiness consistently. Even after having on tap at Alpine.

22oz bottle, thanks Dustin. Poured into a Surly goblet today, 3/4/2014. Not the first time I've had this but the first time I can review this..
App- clear straw yellow body, disappointingly thin white head with weak retention. Good lacing.
Smell- smells reasonably dank, like fresh hop pellets. Earthy, floral, grapefruit, pineapple. Pretty solid.
Flavor- better than it smells. More citrus and pineapple come out on top of the floral notes. A nice crackery, caramel malt backbone.
Mouthfeel- a bit thinner than I'd like. Fair amount of carbonation, nice dry finish. Not too resinous or thick. Quite bitter but clean.
Overall- solid IPA. Nelson is definitely the best one of the Alpine trio. This may very well be the worst of the three which isn't saying much since this is more than solid.
