22oz bottle poured into tulip - thanks to poniell for sharing
Pours a slightly hazed golden yellow color with a fluffy, bubbly white head. Retains well with some film and a nice collar around the glass, plenty of patchy lacing.
Stiff scents of explosive hops with juicy tendencies. Fruit sweetness and fainter biscuit malts. Grapefruit and a slight touch of alcohol.
Bold hop flavor right off the bat with a blast of grapefruit and pine bitterness. The beer takes hold of your taste buds with drying hops, relieved by some notes of fruit. Bready malt backbone stays out of the way but still delivers some light sweetness. Finishes bitter, dry, hoppy, and with a very soft hit of booze.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sticky, dry, and unrelenting on the tongue. This is a fantastic DIPA, and one which provides a true hop attack without too much residual sweetness, booze, or malt.
