Bomber from K&L.

Awesome appearance: clear brilliant golden in color with a lasting one-finger white head and excellent lacing.

Big orange zest on the aroma with some cream soda, honey, and sweet malt.

The flavor is rather big on cream soda with sweet pale malt, honey, and lots of orange zest.

Clean and crisp on the palate yet smooth and silky with medium-light body.

This is pretty good actually after not sounding like anything too interesting. Good for the style at least.

Appearance – This one is light orange in color. The head is nice and foamy but the liquid itself looks really cheap, like water with a few drops of orange food coloring in it.

Smell – There's a light, orangy hop aroma here with a little bit of pine but otherwise not much else to be had.

Taste – This one went South quick. The light orange hops turned into rotten orange peel and the flavor profile picked up a harsh medicinal quality.

Mouthfeel – This Fruit Beer is light-bodied and tangy in a bothersome way.

Sinkability – I love their Pure Hoppiness, but this tangy, medicinal effort by Alpine Beer left me cold.

This beer was kind of a let down concitering how great the Alpine Pure Hoppiness is. It poured a golden color with little to no head that left no hint of lace down the glass. The smell was very hard to get, but it was mostly of sweet honey and a hint of orange. The flavor was average at best with a big sweet malt flavor and a good dose of honey as well. The orange flavor was quite subdued as was any hint of hops. The mouthfeel was very flat and could have used a little more carbonation. This is a pretty easy drinking, non offensive beer though(my girlfriend actually liked it and she hates all beers) but quite borring for me. Pass.

Pours predominately gold with some orange highlights. Great citrus aroma of oranges. Some bread and grass as well. Subtle orange taste over a bready malt backbone. Tastes kind of candy-fake instead of fresh oranges. Some honey and spice, similar to a wit. Refreshing, but lacking.

Clear orange and golden with a very thin off-white head. This beer leaves sheets of lacing down the glass.

A very sweet, syrupy, floral, and citrusy aroma.

An authentic and juicy mandarin orange flavor along with honey sweetness. This is a sweet beer, and almost overly so. Simple and uncomplicated.

Thin to medium bodied with low carbonation.

A sweet orange and honey ale. Some might think this is too sweet, and I'm almost in that group. Alpine makes far better offerings to have this one again.

Poured out a pretty light orange, a shade lighter than their ipa offerings. Aroma was horrible. Obviously something was wrong, as Alpine consistently makes some of the best smelling offerings in the world. This was obviously diacetyl, but in the most potent concentration I've ever come across (or my BA dad who also suffered from this beer's massive flaw).

Taste, could only gather one taste, and had to pour the rest out. Absolutely disgusting. I've had some D-ctyl bombs before, but this was the imperial nuclear daisy cutter of all diacetyl bombs.

I hope it was just an aberation from these guys, weird something like this would ever leave the brewery. Weird stuff, first the slight diacetyl with Emerson this summer, and then to be followed by this failure. I guess I'll stick w/ their world class ipa's from here on out (and Raven's Odin or vice versa).

On tap at the brewpub in Alpine.

Appearance: Clear amber with a small and short-lived head. No lacing.

Aroma: mild light malt with a hint of honey.

Flavor: sweet but not cloying. Light bready malts with a hint of honey.

Feel: Light body with near medium carbonation.

O: a fine honey ale

Clear amber color with a decent white head. Fair retention and lacing.

Nose is surprising weak. I was definitely looking for some orange/mandarin or honey like sweetness and I'm not getting any of that. Maybe a touch of pale malt and cold odorless orange peel.

Flavor is just like the nose. I got no mandarin. Maybe as the beer warms there is a touch of orange peel. Again there is pale malt but no distinguishing characteristics. It vaguely tastes like a lighter Fat Tire.

Mouthfeel is light bodied with med-high carbonation.

Overall it's very drinkable and not a terrible beer. There is just absolutely nothing special or distinguishing about it. I think they need to revise the recipe because they have so many other amazing beers.

This is a very tasty beer from alpine. I could see drinking this after a hard days work and drinking the whole bomber and maybe even 2 if I didn't feel like drinking something else (which is rare)

Pours a clear golden. Nice white head formed but it's just a tiny ring now. No lacing. Very clear.

Aroma is a little like mandarins. Mostly honey malt. Smells a little bready too.

Dang. This is a good light beer. I could see drinkin this with buddies at a pub and drinking a couple pitchers because it goes down so easy. You can taste a little honey, citrus and a nice malt. Very tasty.

Mouthfeel is great. High carb like a light beer should.

Man I wish I could get more alpine brews closer to me. I could drink a pitcher of this at the bar easily.

Pours a golden/light amber in color from a bomber into a pint glass from a 22 oz. bottle. Head is present, at least for a while.

Smell is intriguing but not overly exciting. Nice orange notes yet not really that fruity per se, and offers a nice spicy close on the tongue. But wait, just picked up nice nectar notes on the nose. And the beer does finish with a lingering nectar-like sweetness that is pleasant. A touch sweet but not syrupy, and with a light honey finish.

Not a preferred style but surely have room for this one.

Quick review before the fiancée finishes making dinner! : )

Appearance - Pours a light tangerine color into my SA Perfect Pint. About two fingers of fluffy but quickly dissipating foam, which leave decent lacing.

Smell - Malty nose with prominent wheat. Slight spices make their way through along with orange zest and some grass.

Taste - Honestly, my first reaction is this reminds me of a Blue Moon but is more flavorful. I don't feel this should be labeled a "fruit" beer because there really isn't a heavy prominence of it though it isn't bad by any means. Very flavorful as stated, with a nice spice kick to it.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied bordering on light bodied. Crisp mouthfeel with good carbonation.

Drinkability - Honestly, pretty drinkable in my onion. I am quaffing this down as I type and it is tasting pretty good right before dinner. I wouldn't seek this out by any means because of the price and as stated I feel I could concoct a Blue Moon to achieve the same taste for half the price but a good beer to try nonetheless.
