Pours a solid black colour, with a creamy tan head. Smells syrupy, tobacco leaf, and chocolate. Velvety mouthfeel, tangy notes or raspberry, bit of chocolate, vanilla, with an underlying alcoholic body. Lingering raspberry and vanilla notes.

Oily jet black with a ring of tan that has legs. 3.75
Deep wood nose with cherry-like port notes and hints of smoke. 3.75
Big malts with treacle and tar, lots of tannins, hints of oak, no hops. 4
Berry finish and tart linger.
Medium-full, silky, oily. 4
Incredibly lean for the size - not a trace of sweetness. The nose is luscious, but it’s just the barrel - no vanilla or cocoa. Raspberry pokes out on the finish, but again, additions don’t show up. It’s good only because it’s not actually flawed, but it sure doesn’t live up to the promise of the the premise. *Still* not impressed by Siren. 3.75
