An old timey APA the year of our lord twenty twenty? Well blow me down...

16 ounce can. The can says it's 5.9% ABV.

The pour is quite lively. A dark orange, lightly hazy and very fizzy in a nice way, with a billowing, bone-white white head that sticks around for ages.

Hop-forward aroma with a solid mix of citrus and piney nodes against a modest background of bready malt. Straightforward and well balanced.

The flavor doesn't come together quite as well as the aroma, but it's still solid overall. Bitter citrus up front, lightly sweet bread in the middle, and then smoother fruits on the end and finish. The cohesion is dragged down a tad by virtue of a slightly thin body, but overall this is a smooth and drinkable APA that's keeps me engaged throughout the pint

Poured from a can into a glass. It's a nice-looking bright amber. Tastes of a good mid-range pale ale with some mild sweet undertones that give a bit of distinction. It's a little bit hoppy but not overwhelming and it smells a bit citrusy. It's medium-bodied, light enough for sipping but still nice with a meal. It's quite nice, a very tasty pale ale, like a classy Sierra Nevada.

Great beer. The look is probably most impressive. It has an almost greenish--yellow hue. The taste is not incredible, insofar as there isn't this huge explosion of hoppy flavors that you'd expect. Nevertheless, it's a really good, smoothe beer and it passes the test!

Appearance: Pours a clear amber color with a nice head; decent retention and some wispy lace

Smell; Caramel and pine, along with some crusty bread tones

Taste: Crusty bread forward, with developing caramel tones; piney bitterness builds, through the middle, and then blends with the malt flavors in the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Nothing wrong with this beer - a well-constructed old school APA; a delight to drink

Nice hazy gold to amber in the glass, with a decent head of foam and lacing. Subtle hops in the nose and initial taste, but much less than some APAs. Smooth carbonation and med to light body renders it very drinkable. Biscuity malt with barely any sweetness. No off-tastes and a hint of hops bitterness at the end to round it out. Very enjoyable, but nothing particularly complex. I liked it.

Had on tap at The Yard sports bar in Baltimore. Served very cold, but decent PA still came through. Overall a decent hoppy pale ale that worked well with salty /briney appetizers
