Not the greatest beer in the world, but it's a nice place to spend an hour or two. Relaxing, easy going vibe, friendly service. You could do a lot worse in Chesterton!

Went for the anniversary party on 2/22/14. The place was busy but we got there early and had a seat. Bartenders were always available, never had to wait to get an order in, despite how many people were there. Started with a flight, and really enjoyed trying all of their offerings. They had 9 beers on tap, which is pretty good for a place this young and this size. My favorites were the rye bourbon-barrel porter and the english style IPA. Their flagship Mild Child was very very good as well. My girlfriend loved the Belgian barleywine. Because of the anniversary party, a local Mexican restaurant brought in food, which was complimentary for anyone drinking. All beers were offered in full or 4.5-oz pours, which is nice for those who want to try a wide variety and live to tell about it. The prices were competitive too - most full pours were under $5.

All in all, the place had a nice atmosphere inside, friendly staff, and enjoyable beers at a good value. I will definitely be back.

New to the area nano. Limited hours so far. Nice little spectrum of different types including a mild, porter, IPA, pale. Even a cream ale, which is surprisingly good even with its Jasmine rice bill. Al the styles are a little shallow and hop forward. IMO this balance should improve as they get some experience under their belt. Food-wise, they have none. However, food trucks show up there which is cool. Very nice folks and a welcome addition to an otherwise horrible Porter county beer scene.

Chesterton's new little "nano-" brewery with a constant rotating tap list. Open brewery walk-in setup with several tasty beers and always something new. Recommend trying the "Thread Splitter" (IPA) and "Porter County" (Porter), if they're on.

Only open limited hours (thurs/fri/sat) and they don't offer food service, but it's worth a visit to catch them when they're open. And there's a good burger joint, "octave", just down the road with a nice craft beer selection of their own. !Viva Cheesetown!
