The beer menu listed a 5.52% ABV with a 35 IBU.
The beer appears a dark, reddish brown with a thin, vapory grey/tan head. The aroma smelled of rich chocolate, charred grains, vanilla, and mocha. The taste mirrored the smell with the addition of a nicely balanced hop bitterness to complement the gentle malt sweetness. Medium bodied with a semi-sweet finish.
The standout point for me was hop the hop bitterness paired nicely with the deftly sweet maltiness. A fine, well-balanced and gently complex porter.

Appearance - very dark brown with only a minimal thimble of head, partial lacing
Smell - Nice dark malts with roasted and toasted brightness, big caramel notes
Taste - Lots of the smells come to play here, chocolate and caramels are definitely present
Mouthfeel - medium heavy, light carbonation helps the tongue pick up on those brighter flavors
Overall- solid porter, definitely a keeper

On tap at the brewpub, in a nonic pint glass.
Dark brown, not quite black. Thin frothy head that fades. But decent lacing. Chocolately aroma. Mild roast in the taste, good balance. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation. Overall its eas y drinking with nice flavor. I'd order again.
