15.06.14 into a Chimay chalice.
Produces a fizzy tan head that falls down to a nice little thing of almost a finger. The body is brown with red/orange hues popping up at the bottom of the glass when held up to the light. The head sticks around and leaves a nice sheet down the glass.
Pleasant alcohol aroma is present along with a little sweet caramel. Dark bread, dark fruits, and cherry round it out.
Oh my, this thing is smooth as a babies bottom. The alcohol and carbonation leave a little tingle on your tongue. Medium bodied. Dry. Some dark fruity raisin thing going on. Leaves a bready taste in my mouth. A little sweet, but not overbearing like some quads can be.
As close to perfection regarding quads as far as I’ve had. I suggest eating beforehand or pairing with something after you get a taste for it because this leaves the head feeling good afterwards if you aren't prepared.
