Aroma is roasty and cocoa dominant, with a touch of smoke and licorice. Flavor is decadent and chocolate dominant. There's a little dark fruit, adding complexity to the profile.

This was actually the bourbon barrel version although I wasn't getting much of the bourbon. The stout is a big beer, but never really feels heavy. Solid black with a short, but dense cap of dark brown foam. The flavor has lots of roasted coffee in it. There are also notes of chocolate and smoke mixed in. A very dry imperial stout. Not nearly as sweet as most for this style. A good beer nonetheless.
