I was hoping for more, but unfortunately I was slightly disappointed.

The placed looked pretty good with the brewhouse on display and fermentors out in the open, and an overall wood/tile look with some interesting barrel-lights overhead. At least they tried, but I didn't think the design was great as it seemed half-formed, or at least done under a strict budget. At the very least it's functional, just unimpressive.

As for service, I hate sitting at the bar unattended waiting to order my first beer. I've tended bar, and even at your busiest you can make eye contact to imply "I've seen you and I'll be over" - to not receive even that on a slow afternoon is bizarre. Following that, service seemed entirely lackadaisical, as if our server was about to end his shift and knew he'd be turning it over to someone else - which is even more unacceptable.

The food was good, perhaps even "very good", and the prices were for the most part reasonable, but I didn't find it to be any better than any other restaurant in its class.

As to the beer, I was pleased that 4 of their beers were 'brewpub' beers, and they also have two casks via hand pump (although I'm not sure how often they're used). I can get the regular Cigar City beers anytime, but I understand that they can't produce everything out of the brewpub.

Overall, fairly basic but with good food, and surprisingly bad service at the bar (where you should get the best service). I'd normally say that I'd have to give them a second chance but it's been 8 months and I really just don't care to go back. I'd probably rather just go to the Brick House or Mellow Mushroom, as sacrilegious as that might seem. (1,668 characters)

Real nice ccb extention, beyond the great ccb beer basics, the brewpub brews are hit and miss but always at least good and flavorful, food is generally good but limited selection. Service can be slow. (200 characters)

Food is great. Service was awesome. They brew a few beers here that are not available at the main brewery. Took a growler to go and grabbed a few bottles of Good Gourd from the front to go cooler. All in all, an excellent trip. (228 characters)

Excellent establishment. Something interesting for the beer geek in every direction but modern and austere enough to impress any family member/business partner. The beer was great but the food was somehow even better. Great specialty beers though I do have to say the house yeast is a little belgian for me (good problem to have). Specialty growlers, for sale or they fill anyones (32 or 128 oz). The location is a little out of the way but as a destination stop it is essential if visiting the area. (505 characters)

I LOVE the way the place looks inside. The food is fantastic, too. Have a cuban sandwich when you get in, it's really one of the closest I've had to what my grandfather used to make. There are (naturally) plenty of great beers to choose from, so make sure you bring a growler! I've made the mistake of missing out on a few special releases from lack of planning. The service is excellent, too. Just an awesome place to go if you're not in the mood to visit the brewery itself but still crave your CCB fix. (505 characters)

Slap on busy as hell Dale Mary, a main north-south drag, it's easy to see and offers plenty of parking.
Food is kind of upscale bar food, with the burgers being especially good. $9-13 gets you a big, juicy , cooked your way burger with a nice grilled edges with some crunchy bits. Just like home, baby.
Servers are friendly but mine never introduced herself. She did have great beer and food knowledge and wasn't a "helicopter" waitress (I hate those! ).
The beer. 14 different brews including a cider are either brewed here or at the main brewery down the road (the big sellers) . (581 characters)

I've been to the taproom as well and had to try the Brewpub.
Friendly staff, good beer selection, good food. What more can you ask for?

I haven't had a beer Cigar City makes that hasn't agreed with me yet. Not a big bre reviewer, but the Pauline Pedrino was a great milk stout, and the Madero Brown is top notch in my opinion.

I had swordfish tacos when I visited and was pleasantly surprised by the flavors in these. I would definitely order these again. (457 characters)

Stopped in for lunch the day before Hunahpu day. Really nice Atmosphere. Really thought the old bourbon barrel light fixtures above the bar were cool. Bartenders were nice and kept our glasses full. Thpught the food was delicious and the brews were tasty. Enjoyed my lunch and short visit will def go back next time I'm in town. (328 characters)

My wife and I stopped here while on a vacation trip. It was late evening and the place was still pretty busy. We had already eaten, so trying some of the beers was the main purpose of our visit. We took seats at the bar and ordered two, 4-glass sampler flights so that we ended up trying 8 of the 14 beers that were on tap. The food menu looked very tempting, so we ended up ordering an appetizer to accompany our beers.

Each of the beers was very true to style, and each was tweaked somewhat so that we graded them in a range from a B-minus to an A-minus. The Paulina Pedroso Brown Ale was the highlight, but the Hopped on the High Seas - Citra was also very tasty, as was the Cold Moon Flanders Red. (We actually liked the HotHS-Citra better in a can that we had the next day.) The varied selection of beers (you don't see many breweries offering a Flanders Red) along with the brewery's enhancements to each of them made for an exciting experience. We'll come back again someday. (983 characters)

This place made my whole trip to Tampa worth it, especially for lunch on the beer-centric day of my vacation. It's a cool place to begin with, a mix of traditional and modern. It's hard to describe light fixtures or why they're so cool, but the chandeliers made of beer cans were really nicely done and the ones over our table, sort of like wide bands opened to form a circle (again, hard to describe), were also cool. Over the bar, two barrels with the bands split and open held more light fixtures. Service was very good, particularly from our very attentive and informative server. You'll have questions answered by some of the others working there, maybe, but they tend to be busy. The quality is Cigar City, which is generally phenomenal. They do have collaborations on tap as well. On draft, I could choose from one of a couple dozen beers, including two on cask. There were no bottles for sale on site, but with the tap list available I didn't care. The food was really excellent; the beef used in the burger was some of the highest quality I've eaten, it's all fresh, and it's just well-made. The Cuban sandwich (essentially a take on the Reuben) is fantastic as well. The flourless chocolate cake made with Hunahpu is delicious, if a bit pricey. If I'm ever in Tampa again, I'll be here for lunch. (1,306 characters)

As you walk into CC Brewpub you see that everything is beer related. From the chandeliers over each table made of barrels to the small brewing set up in the front of the restaurant. The beer the CCB team makes there isn't half bad either! I got the Cuban sandwich and it was great! (281 characters)

This Saturday was my first time in the brewpub, so naturally I had to try their brunch. I was not disappointed. The selection of brewpub only brews was very impressive. Thank god for flights! And the Juevos rancheros w/house-made hot sauce was amazing! The server was great at first, but felt a little like we were being hurried to finish near the end. To be fair I was there two and a half hours... You'll see why! (415 characters)

Stopped by after signing up for Catador Club. Obviously this place used to be a TGI Fridays and they did not do much with the setup to change it. The decor is great though. Good tap selection of CCB of course, but also brewpub exclusive brews like Brewer’s Brunch (awesome btw). Food was solid but not great. Our server left something to be desired and the food did take a long time. I asked to double check that Brewers Brunch was a stout and her answer was "I don’t know." That is not acceptable at a brewpub with less than 15 of their own beers on tap. Overall a nice experience and will return for the pub exclusive brews. Updated: went back and the food was much better, and the lunch/brunch menu is a great value. Gotta go here when you are in the area. (763 characters)

Very nicely appointed and fairly spacious.

Everything was excellent. From the beers to their selection of liquor and wine.

My server was extremely kind, attentive and helpful.

Selection of beer is excellent if somewhat limited. Same for the food, at least for the lunch menu.

Had a Cuban sandwich with malanga chips. Very good lunch and plenty of food, only able to finish half of sandwich.

Beer is reasonably priced. Food is a tad pricey but as I mentioned, is very good an plentiful.

It is a bit out of the way from my normal haunts in Tampa, but will definitely make it a point to visit again. (603 characters)

My wife and I were totally bummed that once we learned Marshall Zhukov was released that it sold out at the brewery the day before we made it to Tampa. We hung our heads kinda low, but we went to the local Total Wine anyway. After we expressed our frustration to the right person, they told us that the Brewpub had a few bottles left. Needless to say, we drove straight there!

Atmosphere: Kinda reminded me of one of the Dogfish Alehouses. Clean, wood-driven, and consisting of live bands.

Quality and Service: Our service was totally awesome and we were waited on attentively. Even our waitress made the following comment: "Relax, you got your "Marshall Zhukovs."

Selection: This part is curious. The brewery decided to produce another separate line of brews for this locations ONLY! I tried the Belgian influenced on and thought is was mediocre.

Food: Wow, the Cuban sandwich we both had was awesome. Keep up the good work!

Value: Compare to DC (where I'm from), this place was pretty reasonable.

Overall, I definitely recommend this place, but go to the CCB pub first. (1,078 characters)

I'm a big fan of quality food as much as quality beer, and this place has both. It is expensive for the food, but they are using top notch ingredients and they do it well.

All of the beer that is made in house is solid, especially the Brewer's Brunch Stout, which is actually made at CCB under the Brew Pub's label (only way they could do enough volume!)

Now add in the 10% discount from the El Catador club, and all of a sudden, the prices are very good for that type of quality.

Definitely worth a try. (508 characters)

Took my family here on our way home from Disney World. It was a early dinner around 4pm. It was not super busy so it was great for the family, we have a 1 and 5 yr old. Service was great, same for food and of course, the beer. The head brewer came out and talked to me and explained some of the beer he plans to brew. This was a great experience and we will go back when in the area. (383 characters)
