Good ESB. Had a 12 oz. .can at the Cianti Grill in St. Paul MN. Pours a clear light amber color with an off white/ light cream colored head. Good head retention and light lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild, slightly sweet maltiness. Taste features toasted malt, a little sweet with some bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is light and crisp. Nicely done!!!

12oz can with a date. Beer #1200, baby
Hiding underneath the unnecessary and weird name is one of the best amber beers I've had the pleasure to try recently. Darker than I would've thought it to be, little head, but great lacing all down the glass. Supremely great taste, roasty & toasty malts, grain forward, slight bittering hops in the finish. Just lots and lots of savory malt goodness here while remaining very drinkable (not a malt-bomb)
Bomb-ass. That's the bottom line

9/23/20....pours medium dark brown with light white foam,. Bready caramel nutty nose. Caramel flavor. Robust. Slight cola. Backed with a hop that balances out the sweetness. Very nice, almost a root beer flavor.

Poured from a can into a tulip.
Pours a clear dark copper. Moderate head. Excellent lacing.
The brew has caramel malt sweet aromas mixed with fruity and earthy hops.
Caramel malts on the tip of the tongue. Mild citrus fruit flavors in midstream, with earthy and floral hops finishing the show.
The feel is great. Medium bodied, well carbonated, and drying at the finish.
One excellent ESB.

I got a can of this beer from a beer store in La Crosse, Wisconsin. It poured a slightly hazy amber with off white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had bold caramel malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with caramel malt base and maple syrup and molasses highlights. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

Appearance: Pours a deep, dark amber color that is clear. SRM of 16. (4.00)
Aroma: Light to moderate aromas of earthy caramel, brown bread, and light flowery aromas.. Hints of brown sugar, syrup, and toffee. A strong earthy caramel aroma to finish. (3.50)
Flavor: Flavor follows the nose with light, vague citrus followed by a caramel, brown bread, and some flower. Milder flavors. Lots of caramel, brown bread, with flower. (3.75)
Feel: Light and clean. Mild carbonation. Clean on the palate. Moderate pine bitterness. Alcohol shows through. (3.75)
Compared to Summit's Extra Pale Ale 4/13/20: Pours a darker color. Lighter aromas. More malty, alcohol and phenols. More Belgian spice. Less flower, citrus, and caramel malts. Maybe more nuts too. Finishes slightly sweeter.
Compared to Odell's 90 Shilling Ale 5/26/21: Pours more ruby. More orange citrus, caramel, an pine. Less toasted brown malts and bread. Slightly stronger and a larger body.
to SN Oktoberfest 2021 4/14/22: Pours an identical color. Milder aromas. More earthy caramel and flower. Less orange, spiced caramel, and toasted malts. '
to Sierra Nevada Celebration 4/20/22: Pours a darker color, milder aromas. More caramel malts, less spiced pine. More toasted bread, but less bitter pine on the finish.
Compared to Alaskan Amber 3/2023: Pours lighter, stronger head. More citurs, tea, pine. Less toasted bread and amber malts.
Compared to Great Lakes Eliot Ness 3/2023: Pours lighter, stronger head. More citrus, tea, pine. Less toasted bread and caramel malts.
Overall: Previously mixed reviews, but this one has a nice caramel malt profile with an earthy pine bite too it. Lots of caramel and sun-basked orange. It's toasty, yet fruity. Strong caramel, pine, but also orange citrus. Drinks quite similar to Sierra Nevada, but more malty perhaps. (Final Rating: 3.71)

Light brown color with a definitive haze. E excellent blanket lacing from lasting head.
Lots of caramel/crystal malt aroma.
Sweet and dry in equal measures. The brew starts dry but the malt sugars show up in the swallow with the mild hop bitterness. The flavor is rich while the body is above average. Higher carbonation as well. The finish has a caramel flavor with white pepper-like hop spice. The aftertaste approaches chocolate but doesn't quite get there. I get a bit of treacle as well.
Overall, this is a special beer. Perhaps it's more dark and bitter than a traditional ESB, but the flavor is full with darker toasted beads and light pepper.
