$5 pint at the source. I love ESBs and think most are under rated but this is way out of style. First it's hazy. Second it's over carbonated (and very cold). Third it's super light in body, which is somewhat forgiveable as my preference is fuller bodied, despite the benefit of being 5.2%. Over attenuated, over carbed and lacking flavor.

Sample sent from the brewery.
Excellent lacing on top of a hazed out dark brown brew that dons some reddish highlight when put to the light. Booming of caramel, fresh bread, and toasted crust in the nose and on the palate. Balanced enough from the hops and a kiss of alcohol. Some cotton candy, toasted grain, and earthy hop middle to end. Finished semi-sweet.
Extremely flavorful, very authentic, & easy to knock back ... everything you want to see in an ESB right?

Pours a light mahogany color, with a yellowish finger of head, dissipated to a few small bubbles and didn't lace. The aroma was sweet, somewhat nutty, light grassy, herbal, earthy hops, caramel and hints of roasted malts. Taste was light on the bitterness, but definitely had a little bite to it. Some sweetness and caramel, brown sugar. Bit creamy, upper medium, creamy body.
Solid. Easy to put away. Went pretty well with the French Dip.
