Our flagship IPA is a well-balanced yet aggressive West Coast IPA that showcases Yakima Valley hops at their finest. Late additions of Simcoe, Citra, Loral, and Mosaic give this beer its complex citrus, fruity, and floral aroma and flavor. Named for a unique piece of farm equipment that removes hop vines from the trellis during the annual hop harvest, Topcutter IPA delivers loads of hoppiness all year long.

12 oz can poured into a pint glass. Pours hazy copper with a finger of sticky foam. Aroma is full of dank hoppiness - smells like weed.

Flavor is full of earthy hoppiness with a very strong bitter finish. Nice malt backbone. Nice resiny flavor. This is a very good IPA.

Im getting a lot of lemon rind, biscuit malts with the same on the taste but with a floral/pine bitterness. Ive had Wet hop IPAs or fresh hop IPAs and this is like that with the super fresh and bright tasting hops but you get it year round because its grown in Yakima. Smooth and excellently balanced for being hop forward.

Quintessential west coast IPA. Pine forward, clean finish. Nice and clear golden color, solid head throughout with good lacing.

No complaints from me. If you don't like hop-forward piney IPA's, you won't like this.

Canned 4/20/23

Yet another pick from woemad’s third BIF box. This is another brewery that I haven’t heard a damn thing about before grabbing this can out of the fridge, but they seem to have a pretty good reputation in the northwest. Let’s crack it open and see what it has to offer

Pours a mostly clear yellow gold with 3 fingers of soapy off white head that slowly fades to thin cap and leaves minimal lacing

The nose is pretty crisp and clean, it’s lightly bitter but mostly fruity. I’m picking up on aromas of red grapefruit, lemon zest, bready malt, floral hops, grass, orange juice, and light white grape

It’s definitely more bitter in taste than the aroma led me to believe, and I’m perfectly fine with that. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting pithy grapefruit, lemon zest, bready malt, piney hops, white pepper, grass, orange juice, and light honey. The swallow brings notes of pithy grapefruit, crackery malt, herbal hops, wildflower honey, pine sap, orange juice, white grape, light grass, and white pepper

A light medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes mostly dry with a firm bitterness

This is a solid WCIPA with a nice fruity edge to it. Another great pick from woemad!

Fine looking pour, medium amber, a finger of frothy head and a clean aroma of floral hops. Taste is medium dry, with plenty of hop flavor. Pleasant lingering taste on the finish. A well-crafted IPA with no pretensions.

Look: Slightly opaque orange in color with a lofty and quick-forming head that holds as a pillow, slowly receding and leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Cara Cara oranges, strawberries, wafts of pine, blueberries, a little mango, and sweet bready malt
Taste: A huge pine and citrus fruit explosion starts it off and is quickly followed by a spattering of mixed berries – blueberry, strawberry, gooseberry, and raspberry. Sweet bready malt and some mango come through in the middle before closing with more pine and citrus along with a hop bite
Mouthfeel: Full, medium-high carbonation, lightly slick, and a nice mild to medium strength dryness on the finish
Overall: I’ll admit it, I love this beer and am therefore probably biased to it. I’ve been a huge fan of not only these folks’ offerings, but especially this particular IPA ever since first pulling the trigger on it in Washington before they ever began distributing in Oregon and was so was jacked when they decided to start distributing it here in my home state. The hop profile is right up my alley and overall, it’s a well-done beer with great aromas/flavors, a nice feel, a good bite, and some dryness. Recommended and keep ‘em coming

Pours a dark yellow with some small floaties suspended in the translucent liquid. Head is a finger of white foam. Aroma is citrus, resin, pine, hops and bready malts. It's pretty tight between hops and malts, offering up a quick transition for more contrast. Flavor profile is resin, pine, grass, and citrus hops and bready malts. Hops are still forward, with malts quickly shutting the door afterwards. Mouth feel is soft with a silty, lightly pulpy finish. Thickness is medium. Overall, well balanced with hops forward, but still allowing the malts to balance it out.

Picked up a mixed 12 pack from The Market at Birch Bay for $21.99. Smudged canning date I think in March, consumed 6.6.21.

Beer poured gold with a very nice white head.

Nose is full of citrus and tropical hops.

Taste is orange and goose berry forward with an aggressive pine bitter finish 8/10 on my scale.

Mouthful is light and very refreshing.

Overall a solid west coast ipa!

A nice American IPA offering in a 12oz canned in early February, poured into a can-shaped nonic. Clear beer is fun these days in the midst of all the hazies; this brew is pale gold with light lacing. Tropical, piney, resiny, and bready, with slightly dank notes and minor stone fruitiness. Moderate sweetness with some pithy, piney bitterness and dryness. Solid floral characteristics as well (I've been getting that in a lot of IPA's recently). Tasty.

A-clear gold, entertaining flows of carbonation rising, prodigious foamy head that lasted quite long
S-smells WCIPA down the middle, with earthy dank pine
T-more complex than the smell. sweeter than expected, with herbal pine and lemon peel. Above average bitter.
M-The best part of this really good beer. Moderate (+) body and really chewy on the backend. As others here have noted, the modest alcohol is a bit more present than expected, but that's just nit picking.

This beer strikes an excellent balance between a strong, pine bitterness, and a restrained, refreshing brightness. Super fresh, super invigorating. We greatly enjoyed it.
