A special version of the brewery's rauchbier with the addition of chipotle peppers and served with nitro. On-tap at the brewery itself, on to the beer:
A bone white head an inch thick is initially formed on top this cadmium orange colored beer. Despite the nitrogen, the head retention is only modest. The aroma and tastes are right on track, both featuring the flavor of smoked jerky meat and a modest helping of chipotle peppers which add a little texture without spoiling or overspicing the beer. There's also a note of banana peppers and something resembling smoked pine. It's very light with the carbonation and has a medium sized body, more bubbles would be preferred. Despite that, this is one experimental beer gone right.
Serving type: nitro-tap
