750 ml bottle, 2014 edition, bottle #126 of 500. Served in a DFH snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stayed around a long time. There's also a decent amount of lacing. The brew smells like roasted malt, dark fruit, coffee, and bittersweet and milk chocolate. Taste is similar to the aroma, it tastes like burnt/charred malt, coffee, dark fruit, bittersweet chocolate, smoke, anise, and some earthy hops. There's also a nice bitter roasty finish, but the sweet flavors do get a bit stronger as the beer warms up more. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's creamy and coating with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good imperial stout, hopefully Seventh Son will make this again next year! $10.99 a bottle.

Very roasty stout, with a bit of a tart grape flavor up front.

Tons of coffee from the malt. Very good brew, quite drinkable; quite possibly outstanding.

Poured from a Growler. Robust, rich, and complex. So far my standard. 11.2015
