Poured from bottle into pint glass. Poured a dark dark brown with a thick fluffy almond head that retained for a decent amount of time. Aroma was dominated by malt and cocoa with a hint of vanilla and oak. Tastes of roasted malts and oak/cocoa with a hint of vanilla and bourbon. Medium bodied and smooth. Overall not a bad porter though was hoping for more vanilla and bourbon in the flavor and nose.

From the bottle, it pours a dark brown color with a light brown lusty head. The head sticks around for a while. Scents of vanilla and malt in the nose. The mouth gets a thin taste of malt and some cocoa.

Pours a thick, dark brown color with a light tan head. Head is very thick, takes a little while to fade away. Smells of vanilla, oak, cocoa, and malts. Tastes of vanilla, roasted malts, cocoa, oak, and a hint of bourbon. Medium body, flavor lingers for a while after the finish. A little lighter body than I expected, which does make it an easy drinker. Price point is nice, and the ABV makes this an easy drinking porter.

Quick review. Pours opaque mahogany/black with 1/2" of tan head that recedes pretty quickly. Retention & lacing are both so-so. The nose is an oak-informed vanilla with little else going on. Palate is similar, with more of an undefined barrel-aged quality, vanilla & booze. Drinks too light for a non-Baltic Porter, with a sharp finish. Not in love with this one.
