Pours a opaque dark brown that forms a nice khaki head. Aromas of coffee and vanilla are evident. Not overpowering despite the generous ABV. Taste of chocolate, roasted malts, and coffee at the end. Some lactose sweetness. Bitter at the end. A good beer

From the pint can, it pours very dark brown with a light brown head that slowly reduces. No lacing. In the nose, it is some cocoa and more black malts. In the mouth, it is thin, but has a slightly sweet roasted/black malt flavor with notes of cocoa and coffee.

I don't see a date listed on the bottle.
Appearance: It has a black body with a nice medium-large khaki to light brown head. The head has a creamy textured surface with a few larger bubbles. It has good retention and it slowly drops down but retains a head. Some strings of lacing.
Aroma: Right off the bat there is this cocoa scent and what sort-of smells like roasted cacao nibs. There is a burnt aroma of carbon and a light woody scent. It's a really outstanding smelling Imperial Stout.
Taste: There is this sour note up front with a lot of carbon flavor. The middle of the beer is carbon and it finishes the same.
Mouthfeel: It is on the lower side of medium bodied. It finishes a bit thin and dry. Light bitterness from roasted grains.
Overall: On this website it is listed as a Sweet/Milk Stout but the bottle labels this as an "IMPERIAL STOUT." Checking their website this is listed as an "IMPERIAL MILK STOUT." It doesn't have the body of a milk stout and it lacks the sweetness. It is comprised entirely of this roasted, carbon flavor which has nothing to balance it out. As a whole it feels pretty average but it's on the low end of that field. I wouldn't recommend it given the alternatives on the market. It is unlikely that I would drink it again.

Poured moderately hard from a big bottle into a snifter glass, forming 3+ fingers of foamy brown head that eventually faded to light lacing. Deep cola brown color, pretty opaque. Smell is strongly roasty with a bit of coffee, neither of which I'm a fan of. Taste is a sweet milk stout background, but is primarily strong roasty, with some semblance of coffee at times. A bit better as it warms, but not by much, still fairly bitter. Strong carbonation and a light body, neither of which help matters. Not something I would buy again since I'm struggling with the big bottle.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a dark, mahogany brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, tan-colored, somewhat long-lasting head. Not much lacing to speak of.
S: A very muted aroma of chocolate, malt, cream, and lactose.
T: Tasted of decent amount of malt (present throughout; a major ingredient), some light cream notes (kind of fleeting), a bit of lactose (not a huge factor, but certainly present), and a bit of milk chocolate (could've used more). Like the aroma, the flavor is quite muted and a bit on the thin side. Still, it has the makings of a good taste.
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a smooth, if a bit thin, finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A wildly uneven beer, but it has its good qualities.
