Picked this one up the other night on a whim. Poured a deep amber color into a pint glass, head is minimal and dissipated quickly. Not very much nose to it, a bit of citrus. Mouth-feel was a tad watery. The malt was dominant over the hops, not very much bitterness to it at all.

Overall: About average. I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to try it, if there's other IPA's available that you enjoy, you're safer going with them. Would drink again if my options were extremely limited.

Bottled 3/11/14

A- A slow pour into a pint glass produces a huge foamy and bubbly white head, about four-fingers that takes a while to finally settle, over-carbonated perhaps? Body is a hazy golden-orange

S- tropical and citrusy hop aroma with notes of mango, pineapple and orange peel. Sweet sugary malt

T- tropical fruity hop flavors follow the aroma with an emphasis on pineapple and grass. Malty sweetness with a raw dry finish

M- medium body with heavy carbonation leads to a mouth-feeling foamy mouthfeel and a sudsy finish

O- perhaps this was just an over carbonated batch, but the mouthfeel was like drinking soda. The flavor is a little rough around the edges, but has a nice fruity hop profile

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a brownish/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus hops, a bit of pine as well. Taste is bitter, citrus, some pine, very dry at the finish. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a quality and solid beer.

Poured from the bottle into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Bottled May 12th 2014.

Deep bronze orange, and quite clear body. Good rising amount of carbonation, capped with a very large off white swiss cheese head. Fist full tall, with large bubbles on creation, and speckled lacing.

Nose hints towards malted brown bread and toasty bread crust. Hop angle comes second with a hint of citrus and tropical fruit notes that don't come out to distinguishable.

Palate comes simply with a nice mix of malt sweetness first of caramel and toast, with the hops matching towards some citrus and mostly some dank flavors. Thick solid malt density with a bit of sweetness taking away from the hops a bit. Good chewy body, with some leafy and green bitterness on the finish to go with it. Hits more to dank and earth than citrus it seems.

Still overall it's quite an enjoyable IPA, but seems a little different than advertised.

A: The beer is hazy orange amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation along with some small particulates near the edge of the glass. It poured with a finger high beige head that has good retention properties and took a long time to die down, consistently leaving a quarter finger high head covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of caramel malts are present in the nose along with notes of citrusy and piney hops.
T: The taste is similar to the smell, but the hops are stronger than the malts—flavors of grapefruit stand out in particular—and contribute a light to moderate amount of carbonation. No sweetness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA is easy to drink and has a good balance between the malts and hops.
