Received as an extra and poured into my Duvel tulip. Date of 8/14/14 on bottle

A - Pours a nice darker golden orange hue with a good one finger creamy head that fades to a thick, dense blanket. Slightly sticky side lacing.

S - Aromas of light biscuits, faint caramel, soft hops. Fainter tropical notes, light citrus. Solid enough nose.

T - Taste is similar to the nose. Not too sweet malts, citrus peel, good faint tropical notes. Caramel is light. Not offensive, pretty solid considering it is two months old. Light bitter finish. Alcohol hidden VERY well.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, bright, and the alcohol is hidden completely.

O - Overall, a very nice offering from Three Brothers. Would have liked to try this super fresh but still, no complaints.

Pours golden to copper in hue with a 2 finger off white head that leaves moderate lacing. Just slightly hazy.

The aroma is of grassy hops with ripe citrus. Moderate hoppiness allows the light toast, honeylike and caramel aromas of the malts to shine through.

Bitter hops predominate in the taste, with sweet caramel malts, grapefruit peel and hints of pine and ripe citrus.

Moderate in body with light syrup, and a numbing/drying effect on the tongue. Oily hop burn in the throat, especially early on.

Very good overall. In the beginning, it was mainly just bitter, but as the taste buds become numb, the flavors balance out.

12 oz bottle poured into a shaker pint.

Appearance
Golden amber with 1 finger of creamy head. Good clarity with moderate carbonation.

Nose
Pine, tangerine, onion, caramel, and honey.

Taste
Firm honey and caramel malt backbone. Lots of pine and some grapefruit zest. Damp, earthy, and lightly spicy hops. Suggestions of tangerine pith and pear. Finishes with hints of onion and grapefruit zest.

Mouthfeel
Medium bodied, crisp, and off-dry with a moderate bitterness.

Overall
Earthy and damp with an English inspired taste.
