750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Deep red. Starts off with a decent off white head. Settles to nothing quickly.

Smell - Red wine. Acidic vinegar. Bourbon. Cherries and oak. Very nice.

Taste - Sharp sourness up front. Cherry sourness. Red wine pushes it toward a vinegar sourness. Deep malt flavor, but no sweetness. Bitter and dry in the back end.

Mouthfeel - The bitterness lingers. Medium body. Medium sourness.

Overall - Reminds me of a Cascade sour. Complex combination of flavors.

750 mL bottle courtesy of Libby pours a hazed, reddish-brown color with an off-white head. Modest retention and poor lace.

Nose is freaking awesome, fruit (cherries and plums), wood, funk and sourness. Mouth-watering actually.

Oh yea, sourness is intense and bright. Cranberry extract meets lactic acid, with wood. Thats pretty much all that needs to be said. Awesome beer, I hope I get to try this again. Get it if you can.
