Our double version of Bu Weisse, a spontaneously fermented interpretation of a Berliner Weisse. Fermented and aged in oak barrels, this batch was dry hopped to accentuate the lemon and citrus character in the base beer. Dry, crisp, sour and citrusy.

Had this one back in august and my nets show that I gave this a 4.5 and said...murky orange. nose is bretty like and reminiscent of crooked stave in the smell and taste. Very nice sour Berliner.
Popped one tonight and split between the de garde pilsner and tulip glass
a - pours transparent soft orange with visible carbonation and a frothy fizzy head that fizzled away leaving a thin film of creamy bubbles on the surface.
s - nice lemony tang. Sharp sourness.
t/m/o - big lemon tang crossed with smarties and soft edginess. Super tasty a bit fizzy but a wonderful Berliner. Not hoppy at all. Seems fairly similar to how I remember it. Super drinkable and refreshing. The kind of beer you take big gulps of because it tastes like a summer day. 4.5 stands, maybe even better than the last time I had it.
