750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Ruby body. Slight haze. Medium white head. Thin collar.
Smell - Fruity. Grainy. Berry aroma. Light on that standard De Garde aroma.
Taste - Nice berry fruit flavor. Grainy. Light grape, almost a wine flavor. Mild sourness.
Mouthfeel - Medium light body. Pleasant tartness.
Overall - Doesn't have the intense De Garde sourness I'm used to, which is nice. Very nice and pleasant sourness.

Poured from a bottle into a snifter glass.
Appearance: A hazy red with hints of orange. A pale pink head fizzes away into a think crown, little to no lacing.
Smell: Hints of mint, lots of sour fruits, not sure I get merlot grapes specifically but still very nice.
Taste: Very, very tasty. Lots of citrus, really blood orange more than anything else. Tart in a very pleasant, refreshing kind of way. Perhaps hints of grape toward the finish, but nothing like say, Jester King’s Biere de Merlot. A little bit of that mint flavor I sometimes find in berliners is present here too. A crackery type malt is barely there, overtaken by the blood orange and grapes. A little bit of bretty funk comes through as it warms up as well.
Mouthfeel: Prickly carb but not excessive, and actually a bit low for the style. Dry, of course, and not a very long linger.
Overall: Another winner from De Garde. Not my favorite of their grape sours (I have eyes only for The Lily) but still an excellent beer by any stretch of the imagination. Delicious.
