Here's a review of a beer consumed at March Madness 2015. Not the biggest fan of Azacca hops in ipas, but maybe this will be different in a saison. I also don't hate Azacca, just not great, middling.
Pours a slightly cloudy yellow to light orange color, quick up and down on the white head, slightly about 5/8" at its height, but it quickly recedes downward to just over a slight film of white head. 1/10".
Aroma was neat, got some Tilamook air and earth, farmy, barny, sour, tart, minerals, hoppy all at once. Might be the best aspect of the beer. Light and dry wood.
Taste is much more sour than almost any saison I've come across. They don't do non sour saisons I guess. But its also real enjoyable. Light hop bitterness in the background. Good carbonation, light heft to the malt body that is largely overpowered by the amount of other things going on, good dry finish. Citrus notes of the non grapefruit variety. Pretty acidic too. Very mouth watering. The price was right on these too. Would recommend if you want more of a wild ale and saison blend.
