If your visiting Portland I would highly recommend making the drive here. The drive is beautiful..we went to the coast up a little north to Cannon beach and then drove south along the coast to get to tillamook...the views are breathtaking. De garde itself is in an odd spot with a massive abandoned Aircraft hanger lurking just a couple hundred yards away and the foggy mountain landscape looking east. The selection was top notch and did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. Make the trip it's worth it. By far one of the best brewery experiences we had while visiting Oregon.

Incredible beers, cool atmosphere and a tour by the head brewer made this stop by far my favorite! The onsite bottles list was awesome and I would love to see more breweries take this lead.

This brewery is a strange one to rate in terms of "vibe"; though the physical space of the brewery is very clean and minimal(only a very small bar and a few small tables/barrels), the location of the brewery, surrounded by fog shrouded mountains and next to an abandoned aircraft hanger, is lugubriously beautiful. The beers inside are phenomenal, and the prices are shocking compared to what most breweries charge. The service is fantastic, everyone I spoke to was very knowledgable about the beers that were on tap. Tap offerings are few, as are the bottles. It's definitely worth making a trip to visit this place, the surrounding landscape is beautiful, making the drive you'll likely have to make to get there not so bad.

A quick trip to Tillamook. Cool spot, super friendly, and awesome beer. I only wish I had more time to soak it all in. I will be back for sure!

de Garde is one of the best breweries in the country. I made the trip out there while on vacation as a must visit destination and it was completely worth my time! The folks there are incredibly nice, passionate about their beer, and that's just an incredible combination! Great beer by great folks is the best.

Small tasting room, no food. Great prices.
The owner & brewmaster were there serving. They chat and shared some various beers with us.
Great folks and extremely good beer.

This is a favorite by many locals and it showed. As locals came and went, the owners knew everyone's name.
My friends and I came from Seattle, Portland & Los Angeles. We were definitely the outsiders but the owners made us feel very welcome.

Had a great time here and got some bottles for home.

Trevor is a pleasure to talk with and his creativity with his beers is fantastic. Was at the tasting room for their Boysenberry, Blackberry, and Raspberry Bu Weisse release and had a great time. Haven't been disappointed yet and looking forward to what De Garde brings to the table this year.
