12 ounce bottle, w/o freshness dating that I can find.

Pours pretty typical almond amber, medium tan head, slight in size, then leaves a moderate film, collar and spotty lace.

Mostly malt on the nose.

This is a malty IPA. Some hops late and in the finish. Caramel notes make this one taste like a scotch ale with a semi hoppy finish, with moderate grapefruit notes poking their heads out.

Full bodied with the carbonation on point to slightly on the slow side.

Ehh, nothing to impressive or exciting going on here (519 characters)

Pours to a permanent head and ample lacing. Aroma is bready and hoppy. Flavor is a good balance of grain and hops, of a citrus or tropical flavor. Low bitterness. Mouthfeel is odd but I like it. Good one. (204 characters)

From the 12 fl.oz. bottle. Sampled on May 5, 2015.

Very heady orange amber pour. Leaves a lot of lacing.

The aroma has this sort of overripe fruit character with toasted biscuits. Citrus hops maybe.

The body is light to medium.

The taste is a yeasty, malty, cantaloupe thing. I believe I had an older bottle so perhaps my experience was as good as it could have been. (372 characters)

Bottle: Poured a light amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of grainy cereal notes with dank hops is not very good. Taste is also dominated by weird grainy cereal notes with dank hoppy notes. Body is average with OK carbonation. Something is wrong with the malt bill, the hops profile or some of the other ingredients that were added but in any cases this is not something I would want to drink again. (435 characters)

A: The beer is slightly hazy light amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high beige head that gradually died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose; these ultimately become replaced by the smell of root vegetables as the beer warms up.
T: When slightly warmed, the taste has an initial dash of citrusy hops and is quickly followed by flavors of maca root, which linger through the finish and seem a somewhat astringent. There is a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate with a hint of crispness and a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I wouldn't consider this the easiest of beers to drink because the maca root makes the taste seem astringent. It definitely tastes more like an English IPA compared to an American IPA because the hops are not that assertive and are overshadowed by the maca root. (1,000 characters)

Not bad. Distinctly Kuka. Really just a bigger version of APA. stickier hops in the nose, more caramel on the tongue. Light body but not dry, slight astringency. good length. Cant find the maca. not bad (202 characters)

M - Full-Bodied
