growler poured into taster - thanks alex
Hazy straw yellow pour, thin wispy layer of white foamy head dissolves quickly. Tart and briny on the nose, lemon peel with soft acidity. Snap of soft tartness and acidity up front on the tongue. Hints of citrus and lemon with a salty tang. Straw and hay, lightly funky. Lighter body, bubbly and refreshing on the tongue.
This was my first Lost Nation beer and I was definitely impressed. I'm excited to see more breweries producing this style, which is particularly refreshing on a warm, breezy summer evening.

Served from a 750ml bottle into a HF stemmed tulip. Bottle number 472.
Appearance- Hazy golden with 1.5 fingers of soft white head.
Smell- Tart wheat like a berliner weisse, hint of salinity, lemon, soft wheaty malt.
Taste- Lemony wheat up front, light lemon tartness, soft caramel malt, and finishes with a touch of salt.
Mouthfeel- Real smooth with moderate carbonation. No alcohol presence. Light pucker.
Overall- A phenominal summer brew. I hope they bottle the Gose with Currents at some point!

look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75
Appearance: 3/4 inch head, high carbonation, gold yellow in color, clear
Smell: salt and wheat
Taste: big wheat, peach, orange, and salt
Mouthfeel: light body, sweet with prickly saltiness, medium-high carbonation
Overall: A nice and peachy example of the style. Never had a gose like this. Tastes like a Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat with a gose's saltiness. Would definitely get this again.

A- Poured from the 750ml bottle to a stange with a fairly hazy, wheat and yeast I presume, golden yellow body. A foamy white cap forms to about two fingers with good retention. Lacing is deposited in sheets and spots but not very much of it remains.
S- Aroma brings a heavy malted wheat that brings a generally grainy feel as well as crustiness. Lactic acid bacteria donates lemony and tart hints. Herbal and slightly spicy.
T- At the forefront is herbal coriander with lemon zesty lactic acid and crusty wheat. A slight bit of banana comes to mind as well as mineral water saltiness, cereal grains and light fruits.
MF- Light bodied that is medium-dry. Carbonation is fairly high and the overall texture is mostly foamy with some creaminess. Light tartness on the palate.
Gose seems like one of the best hot day beers along with Berliners and IPAs for me. This is a nice example of the style and it is good to see it being made in New England. A style that deserves more exposure.
