Served in a pint glass at the brewery.

Appearance - Deep red. Orange at the edges. Nice cream head. Good lacing. Thin layer on top.

Smell - Raw hop aroma. Like hops during the boil. Green and grassy. Caramel blends in.

Taste - Hoppy grapefruit and pine. Musty caramel with a sharp flavor. Almost a tang, but not quite. Not as pleasant as the other offerings.

Mouthfeel - Medium light. Medium carbonation. That sharp flavor lingers.

Overall - Rustic may be an apt desciptor. It has a rough feel, but decent flavors.

On draft at Prohibition Pig, Waterbury, VT.

Poured a medium copper hue with a half finger foamy white head. There was Goid retention and lacing.

The smell featured light caramel malts and a soft grassy hop.

The flavor was likewise well balanced with a slight residual herbalness.

The mouthfeel was typical of the style.

Overall a decent standard session ale.

On tap at Lost Nation.

Served in a 16oz. becher, a burnished copper color, hazy, with a half inch or so of off-white head that receded to a ringlet, leaving some lacing on the glass. Nutty aroma, bready malts, herbal hops. The taste was similar, nutty, with a mild brown sugar sweetness, light indistinct fruit notes, and an herbal bitterness, with a slightly metallic finish, reminiscent of Yuengling. Dry mouthfeel, light-medium body. Overall a pretty drinkable beer, but probably nothing you haven't had before.

Small head but good ring lace. Very cloudy. Orange brown color.

Starts with a piney-grapefruit smelling hop.

Highly carbonated but it also has a decent body. The initial malt is a touch sour with a bit of earthiness blended in. The is more muted than the smell suggests. Moderate aftertaste.

Poured on-tap and served in a nonic, the beer is a hazy, copper-amber coloring with a tall, dense, foamy, off-white head of about one and a half inches. Nose of caramel sweet, with resiny and peppered hops profile. Flavors of tangy sweet caramel, with a floral hops highlight and hints of wood. Roasty and sweet aftertaste, with more pepper and spice hops into the end of the palate. Great lacing along the glass as you drink. Smooth, light bodied, with a tangy, slightly cloying finish. Tasty brew, and easy to drink.

Served in a tulip glass at the Misery Loves Co. Restaurant.

Appearance - Medium red w orange infusion. Solid head and lacing.

Smell - hop, grain and some sweetness.

Taste - Hop, pine, some citrus notes are missing some balance.

Mouthfeel - Medium w/ good carbonation.

Overall - Good; not my style as a whole but Lost Nation brewery
makes a variety of styles that I have enjoyed.

On-tap. Pours a slightly hazy amber color. Head is a thick, doughy, off-white head. Laces well. Aroma piqued my interest. It was hoppy and tangy. Citrusy and slightly spicy. Yeast is interesting. Caramel malt. Hoppy, like the nose. Citrus and grass hops. Floral hops. Fruity. Bread crust, caramel malt. Farmhouse yeast flavor. Grain medley. Medium bodied. Very drinkable. Unique flavors. I enjoyed this a ton. Surprised by how hoppy it was. Hope to grab a pint of this again.

Poured on tap at Pizeria Verita in Burlington.
Poured a hazy medium red.
Smell was light yeasty, sourness.
Tasted nice and very sessionable. Some good yeast and malt back bone. Good flavor, would have liked it a bit stronger.
Mouthfeel was just right for a having a couple or more.
Overall, I enjoyed it very much. Could have been stronger flavor though.

Kinda hard to pin point the style.... a cross between a Steam beer and an amber.

The appearance is perfect slightly haze with a red/gold/amber haze.

Smells like a mild hops, then as it warms more hops in the nose. very subtle malts come through too.

Tastes. very smooth very drinkable. Slight citrus, a bit of woody resins...

mouth: as with all the Lost Nation beers nice carbonation. this one seems to fall off a bit faster then some.

Overall a cool hybrid of styles, I see this as a year round beer with broad appeal. There is something for everyone here, hops and malt, crisp but also a bit of that unfiltered haze.

Tried this beer on draft in the brand new tap room.
Liked it enough to bring a growler home.

It pours a nice unfiltered amber off white head.

When you first smell the beer you get a flowery, grassy smell... But as it gets closer to room temperature you get a nutty toffee smell!

The same kind of thing when you first taste this beer, you taste the hops and the malt. The malt at first is subtle, but at the same time very defining. Again, as it gets closer to room temperature you realize the complexity of this beer and its malt character.

Really smooth and pleasant mouthfeel. Medium body.

I like it.
