So eating lunch here is always a pleasure. The beer I'm drinking right now is The Wind, which is their Gose dry hopped with Mosaic and grapefruit. Just fresh and real tasty!!! They have a great chef who makes an incredible menu. The burger is to die for I must say. Get the Cowboy Beans!!! Overall the vibe is just great. Hands down the best food at a brewery!!!!!

In the middle of nowhere, Vermont located in a small town between Stowe and Greensboro (Hill Farmstead). Hard to find as it used to connect to an industrial service road and now does not. You have to go around get on 100 and go back. Very small sitting and drinking space. I think there were four tables to eat with a small bar. Lost Nation needs another space as their beer will be getting popular. The variety of beer available was varied and all were good. The Gose was outstanding but so were some of the other beer offerings. The food – excellent. I joked that they must have had a small French man in a chef’s hat in the kitchen. Let me say this again the food was nicely presented and awesome in taste and imagination. Vibe was laid back. Quality of the brews is excellent. Service was very good.

In the middle of nowhere, VT, but conveniently between Stowe and Greensboro (Hill Farmstead). We sat outside in the beer garden since it was such a nice day. Got to try a flight of their beers plus one extra for the Lost Galaxy IPA. They had 4-packs of Gose and Mosaic IPA for sale inside. Food was awesome, we had small plates tapas-style: steamed mussels, VT Brie with blueberry jam, and chicken liver pâté. Service was solid. All in all a great place to stop for some good beers and BBQ. I liked the Gose, the Petit Ardennes, and the Lost Galaxy IPA the best.

In the middle of nowhere, but on the way to HF and worth the side trip. Great beer that is offered in full pours, 3 oz. tasters, or flights of 6 tasters. The Mosaic IPA is great, and underrated. They also sell beer to go in growlers, 4 packs of Mosaic and Gose, and 750ML. bottles when available (The Wind on 9/14/15).
They have a great indoor and outdoor space for food and/or drink.
The food and service was great. The pork belly sandwich with house made romesco was exceptional.
No complaints, wish it was closer, will definitely go again.

Excellent beer experience, offering just a little bit of a twist to it.

The turn off to the place is a little misleading, figured it out, but it's easy to miss as you have to go down a service road by the industrial park area.

However, once arriving it's a great space. There is an excellent benched area for the biergarten which is what I really like to find in places like this. The other is a bar/restaurant area for you to also partake in the food and drinks as well, which is where I sat and ate.

I loved the diversity of the styles they had, it was one of the few places in Vermont that had this and they were also done real well. Service is real fantastic, as the staff handled my food and order of cans to go real nicely too.

Really like the experience here, I would easily return

Lost Nation was about a 30 minute drive from Hill Farmstead. It's kinda tucked away, but so it nearly everything else in VT.

There's a big, red, barn-looking taproom that's abutted by a "biergarden" which is actually much more of a full-service restaurant than just a place where you sit to drink. Cans and growlers are available for purchase inside, and all the food needs to be consumed outside. (I have no idea what they do when it's cold outside).

As for the vibe--you're outside in Vermont. It's breathtaking. The food is hearty and hippie-ish: nearly everything is local and they give you lots of greens as sides. It was very tasty.

There were around 8 house beers on tap, including the delicious gose, along with a handful of good guest taps. The beer was tasty.

There are so many places in Vermont that qualify for "must visit" status that I don't know if Lost Nation quite makes the cut. If you're going to Hill Farmstead, however, and it's nice out, and you're hungry, I don't see why you wouldn't want to stop here.
