one of my favorite beers from off color to date. lots of unique flavors going on here, and i adore the packaging. its a cool beer, a wild ale aged in wine barrels. the wine comes through like crazy in the nose and taste, some oak tannins from the wood, but some tart fruit, like the skins as much as the flesh, a little acidity from the wine itself, and a bright fruitiness that goes well beyond grape and marries brilliantly with all the funky brett going on in here. the beer has a bigger but also sort of delicate feel to it, with quite a bit of body but raging carbonation and near complete dryness. wheat based it seems, but there is a little more color to this than just white wheat, a pinch of a medium crystal malt perhaps, i dont taste that, but it looks and feels like its here. subtle melon and citrus notes from the wine, tons of oak, and all of this brett. has a light belgian yeast ester profile and effervescence. unique beer to say the least, one of the only barrel aged beers i have seen from these guys, and its really really good. highly recommended if you can get your hands on it!

L: Dark orange a bit copper...Layer of foam that stuck around.
S: Tart cherries some wine grape for sure. Lots of oaky funk.
T: A really nice wine grape taste up front fades with some tart cherries maybe some green apple. Nice musty oaky funk throughout.
F: Nice and thick by prckly carbonation at the same time. Really nice.
O: Really good wild ale from Off Color. A ton of barrel character.
