Had this again today, two glasses. It was more sour than the first batch, maybe more of the lacto in the mix. Almost citrusy and very juicy, even had a slight tang in the aroma. Everybody ordered one after trying a sip, could drink this all night...upping S/T/M scores. Timeless simplicity, though plenty of nuance also.
Draft pint at Map Room.
Pale straw color, slight haze with a sturdy lasting head of white foam on top. Some slowly rising carb trails visible, copious lacing that leaves a drippy intricate pattern in the glass.
Coriander steals the show aroma-wise, it's the main component, with some light mellow wheatiness in the periphery.
Snappy and crisp, it has a zippy tartness that is extra quenching. Smooth feel, light bodied, notes of coriander and wheat linger in the dry aftertaste. Brisk carbonation scrubs the palate, making this both a summer refresher and excellent palate cleanser when pairing with food. The clean tartness is pleasant and balanced, not extreme. The low abv lends itself extremely well to sessioning. Definitely will be a go-to session beer once it hits shelves in six-packs later this year.
Note: Six packs are $9.99-10.99 in Chicago, if you're paying more you have your local distributor/retailer to thank.
