On-tap at Northdown. Served in a tulip.

A - White foam settles to a solid cap, thick collar, and splotchy lacework. Hazy salmon body.

S - Very yogurty and lactic, with notes of lemon, wheat, fruit skins, and a distinct grapefruit flavor. The latter was sort of puzzling, insofar as where it came from, but it was a welcome addition. Lots of flavor to be found here.

T - The taste is a bit sweeter, with some pale malt character amid the wheat, lemon and grapefruit tartness, and lactic acidity. Not as much yogurt-character here, but more of a grape and appleskin brett quality instead.

M - Dry, light body, with a moderately grainy texture, and pleasant soft moderate carbonation. Nice pucker and acidity, but never grows fatiguing.

D - Very refreshing and enjoyable. Too good to be a one-off; please make more. I could see myself going through multiple glasses in an evening.

On tap at Northdown, quick review from written notes.
Served in a footed chalice glass.

Opaque reddish orangey pinkish tone, foam looks a little more pink. Unique and hard to describe color, it's definitely not purple though. Initial layer of surface foam that dissipates to a patchy surface skim along with some spotty lace. Towards the end of the glass there were tiny particles of fruit pulp in the meniscus of the glass.

Some leafy green basil in the aroma, lightly sweet and herbal. Fruitiness is noticeable too, though it comes across more like grapefruit than blueberry. Edit: I heard this was brewed with lemon and only wild yeast from blueberry skins, not blueberries.

Initial blast of tart grapefruit, puckering and crisp, a light graininess in the aftertaste that reminds me of Brett yeast. Smooth with a fairly substantial body considering it's a Berliner Weisse, maybe the fruit gave it a little heft. Very fruity and tart, it was very quenching and drinkable. Had to have another after the first one...
