My first time to San Diego as an adult, I fly in to San Diego Airport, and get driven 9 minutes to this place. I couldn't have asked for a better first place to hit. It's in a cool area, with attractive architecture and decor. Tons of earth elements, sandy spots, coy ponds etc. Huge outdoor beer garden area for dining and drinking. The beer list was impressive, and included many local guest brews. You can create your own flight of (4) four ounce pours of any draft beer. The food selection was also wonderful, with eclectic ingredients and different takes on old favorites too. I had lamb belly Asian style pork buns. The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgable. They have a large merchandise shop too. I would strongly suggest anyone get to this place.

First day in San Diego and a must on the itinerary is this place. A large spawling complex where there is several rooms, and a large oudoor area and just a great vibe here. Most folks are here for great beer. Unfortunately a long wait for an outdoor seat planted us just off the large bar by the gift shop area. The bar alone can seat 25+ comfortably.
The waiter explained the beer menu with some personalization on what he preferrerd and why which was nice. There are about 15 standard Stone brews here, with about 10 brewed here specifically for the restaurant, and about 15 or so guest beers (Alesmith, Green Flash, etc.). I ordered the single hop IPA which was phenominal, and I also ejoyed two other beers which were good.
Servive was prompt and friendly. The gift shop is a bit expensive but well stocked. Growlers to go which is nice.
Overall a must stop for any BA visiting San Diego.
