It has been a while since I had been in a Kappys so I was surprised with all the variety here. It is certainly a beer superstore. The beer is in two aisles and several coolers in the far back right. It is well organized. I was able to find several things like Boulevard Chocolate that I have not been able to find in Plymouth. The staff kept to themselves, but I do not mind that in a beer store. Price was it was slightly more expensive than what I would find in Plymouth, but very reasonable for the Cape. If I was vacationing on the Cape, this is the new place I would recommend.

Very solid selection for any beer store, let alone one in a tourist/beach type of area. All the big name national breweries to the local and regional guys are well represented; rows of bombers line the first shelf of an entire aisle (and we're talking grocery store-length aisles here - as opposed to the cramped corner store version), with 4/6 packs on the shelves below, as well as in coolers at the back. Mix-a-six is a very nice option, especially for someone like me who likes to constantly change it up, beer-to-beer. From time to time I notice stuff past its prime, so checking bottle dates is, as always, important to ensure you don't wind up with old stock. My only other knock is that the service can be spotty. (Notably the occasion I asked an employee passing by if one could mix a six. This gent, stoner-looking type of chap, paused, looked at the beer for a minute, muttered "I don't know" then looked back at me blankly before turning and walking away without another word.) Generally I can take or leave the employee chit chat but I do hope that they can field basic questions, and, I don't know, offer to find answers when they're really stumped. Overall though a top notch beer store, probably the best I've seen on the Cape. Price-wise everything seems to be roughly on par with what you see elsewhere in the state. As an added bonus (and this may be because I'm used to the Boston area where limited releases fly from the shelves in a matter of hours) I seem to always stumble upon a gem or two. Overall the store is huge, with a full complement each of booze and wine too.

Been in here a few times over the past several years as it's very close to where I visit on the Cape. Definitely a good selection for a vacationing area, you can always get your fix for a week or whatever between the mix of local stuff and wide variety of US / import selections. Nice option to mix a six if you're looking for even more variety. Staff kept to themselves, as mentioned before, but I have no issue with that. Liquor / wine selection is great too, if that's your thing. Pricing was on point with what it should be, in fact I was always bracing to take a hit there due to the location near a touristy vacation area, but it's always been good. As with anywhere, always a good idea to check the dates on things that should be bought fresh though, but you can say that for most places!

Kappy's, located in Falmouth, is usually a haul to get there, so I usually only go there in the winter when the traffic has died down, and all the tourists have gone home.

A large liquor store with every type of alcohol imaginable. Kappys probably has the largest selection of beer on the Cape, and usually has some really good choices, at least for the Cape, when it comes to beer. Reasonable prices, with a large selection of different styles. A lot of local, and US craft with a decent selection of Belgians as well.

The service is alright. There is one person, the beer manager, who knows the product. She is on the forums every once in a while, but I forgot her user name. A few other people there know about the beer there, but the rest don't know anything.

Overall, Kappy's is a great store for the Cape. I just wish it didn't take so long to drive there from where I live. If you are vacationing the in the Falmouth area this is the place to go.

I stopped in last week to do some shopping and as usual the selection was terrific. I managed to score a bottle of the Firestone Walker Abacus, which made me very happy. The price was pretty good, too. The next day I thought I'd try to pick up a couple more bottles to give to friends. Since I live about 45 minutes away I thought I should call ahead to check. I got a pretty quick answer of "no, we sold out over a week ago." I knew this wasn't true since there were at least 4 on the shelf the day before so I asked if he could double check the shelf. He said he knew the beer area and that they were sold out. I wasn't convinced so I ended up driving down and lo and behold, there were 7 bottles on the shelf. The guy I spoke to was a manager but I didn't get his name. I just wish he had been willing to actually look for me but his lack of care really irked me. I'll definitely shop there again since they have great stuff but I hope they work on their customer service skills.

Awesome place! The one spot I definitely run to when I am visiting Mass! I am a beer drinker and when I am out in Mass I do love me some Harpoon and Magic Hat... the main thing is I loved how they carry ballast point beers! and thats what kept me going back! The place is huge as many have said and the aisles are stocked with micro brews from around the country. People can knock all they want about not carrying this or carrying that but I am a proud drinker of AMERICAN Made Beer!!!!

This is the beer stop for anyone on the Cape!

Kappy's is the best beer store in the Falmouth area. I popped into about every other liquor store that I saw in five days. It has a large selection of bombers and 750s from place like Stone, DFH, Lost Abbey and Great Divide. They also have about every brewery from Massachusetts represented here. Their selection of imports is good but not huge. Overall, I was pleased because many of these brews are not available in my home state. All the beers that I've had from them so far have been fresh and high quality.

In addition to having more cooler doors than any other Cape retailer, Kappy's offers 3 aisles (at least 25' long each) of beer. All of my faves are there---> Stone, DFH, Lagunitus, Victory, Lost Abbey, Pizza Port, Buzz Bay, New England, etc. They also have a good selection of Belgians and special releases (DFH Chicory, Lag. ZAPPA, S.Tier Choklat) and the very rare Hoppin' Frog line-up...yes even B.O.R.I.S.! A must stop shop that frequently offers beer tasting events. Prices are reasonable despite earlier reviews that Cape Cod has higher prices than the rest of the world. After all it is Kappy's, all of there prices are the same company wide.

This is Cape Cod, you expect things to be a little pricey. But the one-stop shopping and selection is well worth the extra money.

The back wall of this place is one giant beer cooler. I think it was probably 25 feet wide, and 6 feet tall. It's great to have that wide selection of beer chilled when you are heading to the beach.

There is also at least one long row and a couple end caps of "warm" beer. Most of the New England micros are well represented - especially Magic Hat and Harpoon. And you'll also find a good assortment of micros from across the U.S.

International beers were pretty much just the standards.

This is my third visit to Kappy's. My first was over 20 years ago when I was excited by the flavored brandy products they carried. My second was about 5 years ago when I was starting to experience micro brews. This visit occured during a vacation on Cape Cod with my wife. She shopped at the Christmas Tree Shoppe next door, while I did my beer shopping. There selection of beers from thre New England area was excellent. All of the stock looked fresh and clean and everything I have tried that I bought there was in good condition. You can mix six packs, which most stores I visited on the cape would not allow me to do. Lots of nice British brews also available. I did not see too many Belgians, but I was really more interested in the New England Micro products. Prices were good. If you in the area, it is definitely worth a stop.

This place was wonderful. I went in while in Falmouth for a conference and found a plethera of local New England brews. The selection for those beers seemed very good, and there was a lot in the back coolers, even a few growlers! I do wish they'd allowed you to buy singles, but overall a very nice beer store inside a much larger wine store. I ended up buying a lot of things from Birkshire Brewing Company (there was a really outstanding selection of their bombers), an Ipswich mixed case, Cisco Moor porter and Captains Swain Extra stout and a Cape Cod IPA growler. To me the prices seemed reasonable but I am coming from NYC and most other places feel like they're on sale so that might just have been me.

I walked into this store this weekend and almost fell over. The beer dept is huge! Mostly domestic and local beers, didn't see many imports or belgians, but the selections of domestics is awsome. Eg; Full lineup from Concorde brewing. 4 beers from Victory, Lots of beers from Maine, Newport Storm 02,03, and 04. A bunch from Colorado and the west coast. Most beers are warm on shelves, but they have a large cooler section also. I thought Luke's in Yarmouth was the best beer store on the cape, but this might have it beat.

Fairly big store - mainly wine and other liquors. Good for a Cape Liquor store, perhaps the best I've seen. Good amount of local and regional/domestic microbrews. They even had growlers of a few beers-something I wasn't expecting. Imports weren't quite as impressive, although they had a good deal more than your average store. A few Belgians, but mainly the ones you'd find in most better than average stores. Nice service too. They were having both a beer and wine tasting while I was there. The Kappy's on Route 1A in Malden still remains my favorite.
