16 oz can.
A: Pours hazy, golden amber in color, with a short off-white head that soon reduces to a thin film covering the entire surface. Some patches of sticky lacing are left on the sides of the glass.

Aroma: Moderately strong and spicy; a bit pungent but dominated by soft ripe and over-ripe pitted fruits and bananas.

Flavor: Some wheat and pale malts with a light sweetness but fruity and spicy notes dominate. There's a touch of banana, spicy Belgian yeast, apricots, spicy and floral hops and a hint of citrus. Mild bitterness and lightly tart.

Feel: near medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Rarely for me do I like fruit additives but in this case and carton I do.
a) Clean, slight hazed apricot color with the usual thinning head of a fruit laden beer, but good lace.
s) best apricot nose I've found, juicy, real, inviting against pale ale hops and malt.
t) More than the sum of its parts the 800 apricots, hopefully ruined, bruised and over-ripe added to the pot work well.
f) thinnish, as with most fruit beers, but clean and nicely balanced between sweet and bitter/clean.
o) 2 for 2 with this brewer which I hope to visit one day for their original sins and brews.

Exceptionally fragrant - the Belgian yeast an apricots practically explode in to your nose as soon as the can is opened. Very impressed by the nose - it's amazing. The beer is fairly light and refreshing - not much body to it, but pleasant and slightly floral. Note the beautiful can artwork as well.

Not being a terribly big fan of Belgians, I still found The Prayer to be quite enjoyable - though not a great beer, it's still a very solid one.

It pours somewhat hazy yellow with big head. The aroma is yeasty and with a very faint aroma of stone fruit. Medium body and with moderate carbonation. A very nice beer.

16 oz can picked up in GA.
A: pours a cloudy golden wheat body, sub one finger brilliant white small bubble foam head, carbonation, spotty lacing
S: apricots Aroma, sweet and pleasant, wheat-based malt that has a slight sour aroma such as a fermenting aroma, hint of pepper
M: medium body with crisp dry finish
T: wheat, fruity esters, slight hints of apricot, slash of funky flavors like fermented wheat, hints of pepper, biscuit, champagne style dry finish
O: a good brew overall, but the apricot effect is very limited in my opinion and could be amped up slightly more

this is the first beer from burial that hasnt totally floored me in awhile, and i actually had much higher hopes for it. a belgian pale with fresh apricots, it tastes like it was fermented a little too warm, even for a belgian yeast strain like this, it comes across sort of overly estery and its distracting from the fruit, which is sweet and jammy in here, not quite as raw and natural as i expected it to be. the yeast fruitiness does work with the apricots really well, but the balance between them could be improved i think. it feels a little heavy for what it is too, not sweet in the end, not even particularly malty, but just with a weight and density that gets ahead of itself a bit. some spice from the yeast is cool in the finish, notes of peach preserves, unoaked chardonnay, and some floral component trying to make it more delicate than it is. its a neat concept and a well made beer, but this one didnt resonate with me the way all the other stuff from burial has. a little overly belgian perhaps...

Decanted from a 16 oz can into a conical pint glass; production date 7/21/2017.
A: Pours a hazy, golden-brown color with a half inch, white head initially, low retention, and modest, soapy lacing.
S: Sour note with aromas of pitted fruit and cloves; peppery.
T: Spicy with clove and coriander flavors, but a bit tart with apricot/peach definitely present.
M: Light to medium bodied with modest carbonation; bitterness a bit overpowered by the tartness.
O: Interesting taste on Belgian Pale Ale. Drinkable certainly: a bit sour for my taste, though.

canned 7/21/2017. It pours a hazy, golden-orange color with a thin, bright white head and modest lacing. The nose features cloves, coriander, yeast, and a whiff of tobacco smoke. The taste features the spices (clove and coriander), along with lemon peel, sweet apricot, and a hint of earthy tobacco. It has a light, crisp mouth feel with lively carbonation and the 6.2% ABV poses no impediment to drinking more than one. Overall, this is a pleasant, fruity Belgian Pale Ale. It's a really nice summer beer. It would pair well with typical picnic fair but is also great for casual drinking.

Appearance: pours a yellowish orange color with a 1" head that falls to a thick surface covering.

Smell: mild citrus and yeast tones are picked up by the nose.

Taste: wheat bread base with apricots, some coriander, spicy belgian yeast, and a mild bitterness level.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Crisp throughout with some dryness at the finish. Nicely refreshing.

Overall: a very enjoyable belgian blonde that is easy to drink and has enough apricot flavor to make this interesting.
