A western North Carolina IPA that does not apologize for balancing a sturdy malt backbone with citrus-forward aromas and a lingering bitterness. Expect big grapefruit flavors from the plethora of hops to balance out the malt in this well-balanced ale.

On tap, pint serving.
Slightly cloudy copper color. Lots of lacing left by a 1f white cap, sticky rings.
Mild citrus and tropical fruit aroma over caramel malt.
Strong grapefruit flavor with some toasted malt and earthiness.
Medium bodied with strong hop bitterness. Clean and dry.
Flavor and feel made up for mild aroma. It went well with lunch.

Had a pint with dinner at Mezzaluna in downtown Hendersonville 5-25-2021 for $5.50.
I thought this was a solid WCIPA with a nice body, nose that was citrus and tropical fruit forward with flavor that followed the nose that finished nice and bitter 8/10 on my scale. Will have to purchase a can in the near future for a proper review. Definitely worthy of a shot if you want more of a WCIPA brew.

12oz can
packaged 03/27/20
thanks to Anthony for giving me a can to try!
L: copper with some haze; foamy ivory head
S: herbal/spicy hop, citrus, mango
T: more herbal hops, grapefruit & orange rind, piney mango
F: medium body, moderate carbonation, pungently bitter finish
O: this was pretty good, but nothing I'd seek out

Looks a little hazy, opaque.
Smells like mild hops and malt.
Tastes like a Two Hearted ale
Tart, sweet, bitter.
Overall a winner in my book.

12 oz. can poured into Hi Wire Spiegelau ipa glass.
Good orangey gold. slightly cloudy body, full white head which lingers and leaves lace
Amazing aroma of fresh light fruits, and in a BIG way
Taste is following closely; the initial malty and fruit sweets combine and then bitter off nicely, while the beer just kind of explodes pleasantly with bitter dryness, And a feel that matches perfectly - medium-ish at most.
Overall, still a damn fine IPA on any coast or no coast. Absolutely get it.

Love the nose and nice color too.... A bit flat but taste good... Bought a six-pack of cans, consumed in a snifter glass... This is high quality and above-average

From the Hi folk, in a can, poured into a snifter. This nice IPA
pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a nice head of white foam
that settles to a thick ring, clumping thick layer, and shows some
nice lacing. Nose of musk melon, lemon zest, pink grapefruit, and
sweet honey malts. Flavors surpass the nose with a nice honey
and caramel malt backbone followed by flavors of musk and
honeydew melon notes over a bed of light lemon and pink
grapefruit with a hint of sticky pine and floral hops. Nice
mouth feel; medium body, smooth, light carbonation, and
a bracing citrus hop finish that is balanced by sweet malt
that finishes lightly dry.
Overall, a mighty fine brew indeed!
Cheers
