Completely opaque black-brown body under a creamy light tan head that lasts to the bottom of the glass, leaving sheets of lacing. Good stout appearance. Note that this beer comes from a nitrogen tap, not carbonated with CO2.
Smell (not very assertive) is burned chocolate, toasted oats, roasted malt, and coffee.
Taste follows the smell to a "t," with the burned chocolate dominating. Nice sour/sweet finish from the toasted oats.
Mouthfeel is absurdly rich and creamy, silky smooth and slurpalicious. (Long proteins from the oats.) It's the best feature of this brew.
Drinkability is a bit low for this style: I think 6.2% is pretty high for an oatmeal stout. I mean, I like the taste, love the mouthfeel, and would enjoy having two or three of these, but that ABV is on the high end.
Overall a worthy malt-bomb from a brewpub more noted for its hop-dominated beers. Give it a try.

Poured an opaque, black color with a small head of bubbly foam. It smelled of chocolate, roasted malt and burnt toast. It tasted of some sweet chocolate and bitter roasted malt.

Pours dark brown with a creamy chocolare brown head. A deep creamy, roasty, coffee and dark chocolate aroma. Flavor reminded me of a dry stout more than an oatmeal stout and I think this beer would have been better on regular tap rather than nitro. Roasted malt, coffee, dark bitter chocolate and dry. A nice creamy mouthfeel. Overall, an alright brew. Lacking the sweetness I look for in an oatmeal stout though.

Served on nitro-draught into a pilsner glass at Coopersmooth in Fort Collins. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a two finger head of excellent cream, great thickness, and very good retention. Colour is a solid black.
Sm: Nutty, with strong caramel, light notes of rich chocolate, and maybe vanilla. Some milk notes. A moderate strength aroma.
T: Nicely milky, nutty, and slightly caramely, with light chocolate and very subtle cream. Complex enough, but relaxed. Slightly layered and deep, which I like. I dig it! Very nicely balanced and built.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Nicely complementary of the taste, but downright wrong for the style. It feels more like a porter than a stout (even considering the oats).
Dr: Quite drinkable and good, but lacking in complexity. I wouldn't seek it out, but it's pretty good. It does need some work, but I'd try it if you come across it.
