After visiting New Belgium, I went to Coopersmith's for a pint and some dinner. They had two buildings next to each other: A restaurant/brewpub and a pool hall. Each has slightly different menus and beers. I found the food good, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere very nice. I'd recommend this place.

Not a bad place to go if you're making a brewery tour through Ft. Collins. Wouldn't include it in my top 3, but if you've got the time or are looking for some decent grub (Lamb Burger...) in between libations, definitely give it a try. I have had both good and overall disappointing experiences at CooperSmiths. If you go, SIT ON THE RESTAURANT SIDE! Had my parents up to visit a few months back and my dad and I wanted to shoot some pool on the bar side, but they just didn't have their lines cleaned properly and the beer was BAD (flat and a little putrid). Have had the sampler tray on the restaurant side and enjoyed all they had to offer, though it was by no means world-class. Seems a little watered down. Might be carbed at the tap?

Fort Collins has a little bit more brewpub competition than it used two, between two CB and Potts, Fort Collins Brewery's Gravity Ten Twenty, and the fairly recently opened Black Bottle Brewery. Coopersmith's, once almost completely unchallenged there, now has more options to deal with. Even so, it stacks up with the best of them.
Whatever you may be looking for, Coopersmith's has something that just might satisfy you. Looking for a typical restaurant experience with good food and in house beer? Go to the ever-popular pubside, with its sit down booths and tables, attractive bar, and lovely patio. Looking for something that reminds you more of the town's area bars? That's the poolside, with its more dimly-lit bar, framed by the brewing kegs behind them, and large number of pool tables in various rooms. If you're hungry over there, you can order meals and use its own seating in a slightly more casual setting. The place is popular on both sides and for good reason.
The beer selection is extensive and there are constantly changing seasonals and limited releases. It's all very good. Yes, there's better beer in town. There's better food in town. But both are still very good here, and the overall combination of high quality food and beer and a fantastic atmosphere makes for one of the best experiences in town.
