While in the area, i was excited to give this place a try. It is pretty big. They have a pub area, dining area, patio and even a downstairs pub. Next door to the restaurant is a spot they host concerts (pretty big names play there as well) and they even have a store for Fordham Brewing gear.
They serve all of the Fordham beers plus several unexciting guest beers, mostly macros like Guiness, Hoegarten, etc. I didn't see the bottled selection, but I believe they have a large selection of these.
Started with a sampler. Everything was good. A lite lager...the copper ale and tavern ale were quite similiar (both amber and a bit hoppy)...the oak barrel stout was the real gem. It had a hint of vanilla and bourbon, but was incredibly smooth to drink. Their summer seasonal was a pleasant tasting and refreshing hefe.
A great location, a block off main street. A decent menu. My club sandwich was good.
My only real complaint was the staff. As we sat in the bar area, a bartender initially brought us our sampler. He plunked the glasses down and raced from the table.
Our waitress started off okay, but she took forever to bring over our beers (we could see them sitting on the bar just waiting to be picked up while she was standing around). She forgot a side we ordered. When I asked for a hefe, she had no idea until I called it by its nickname, the "summer" something or other. When I was trying to buy a pint glass at the store, the kid at the desk sent me up to the crowded bar to buy one because he was out (instead of going and getting more himself). It was a young staff. Nothing awful, just a few little things added together.
Overall, regardless of little staff issues, really good beers. A cool location. You can eat out front as well. A must stop for beer loves in Annapolis.

I enjoyed the Tavern. Its just outside of main street Annapolis but within walking distance of everything the city has to offer. It became a great place to bring friends or to celebrate. Not a bad place for lunch/early dinner either. Overall, the Annapolis area offers a great deal in terms of food and beer.

I still remember when I moved to the DC area way back in 2002 and played often with the Annapolis Symphony, this was the place I would always go with my friends.
Atmosphere: I only sat at the bar, but my wife walked through the place and was awed by its vastness. I'll take her word for it. It's in a really nice location in a rather awesome town.
Quality and Service: The service we had the night we went was pretty good and in terms of beer, the Fordham stuff was fine. Special shout out to the Serious Stout.
Selection: Lots of taps here, mostly brewed by Fordham, but a few from other local MD breweries. Nice.
Food: Didn't do any entrees, but both the onion rings and nachos were great.
Value: Nothing too offensive in this area.

Between the beer & the concert venue, a great place to eat & drink in Annapolis. They changed the menu & have moved away from a "restaurant" menu to more of a "pub" menu - no more crabby mac & cheese, steaks & ribs. They did add, with the burgers, your choice of beef, turkey or veggie burger or chicken filet.
The beer choice is excellent & you can join the beer around the world club. After finishing 100 brews, you get a t-shirt, mug & your name listed in the tavern.
Concert venue is small & intimate but brings in the great acts such as Kenny Wayne Shepard, Willie Nile & Galic Storm
