A robust and flavorful IPA with substantial, layered kettle hop additions of Summit, Chinook, Columbus, Centennial and Millenium, as well as a dry-hopping addition of Centennial and Chinook. Ten Ninety IPA should be enjoyed as soon as possible to fully appreciate its extra measure of hop aroma and flavor.

Over carbonated mess of an ipa, this didn't blow me away, it tastes like I got this from some home extract brewer that was just getting his feet wet in ipa land.

Served in a Trooper shaker pint glass.

An IPA? Never had one of those... Anyway, this stuff pours a kinda hazy sunrise amber topped by a finger or so of off-white foam. The nose comprises orange zest, light Belgian candi sugar, light passion fruit, and a smidgen of caramel. The taste brings in more of the same, along with a blast of orange rind anfd pine needles, adding a strong vein of bitterness to the proceedings, which somehow doesn't end up o'erpowering things. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, a solid IPA. 'Nuff said, really.

Solid. Underrated IPA. Richness is not overpowered by bitterness. Malt presence solid throughout. My bottle > 6 months old but not lacking for flavor.

Pours hazed golden amber with a lasting foamy head. Web-like lacing sticks down the glass.

The smell is of citrus, herbal spicing.

The taste is of citrus and leafy hop bitterness. Sweet dough is in the middle. It has a dry, spicy finish. Some black pepper lingers.

The feel is more crisp than creamy. It is refreshing.

A pleasant, competently brewed IPA. Hop-forward with a firm pale malt support. Easy-to-drink.

The recommended pairings on the label are blue cheese, charcuterie and horseradish crusted filet. I had a second bottle with some blue cheese and it indeed worked very well!

First had poured at a beer fest and liked it so bought a six pack.

Lovely amber color, slightly opaque, with a full head and nice lacing. Bready, mango smell which leads into a well layered, round, fruity flavor. Reminds me a bit of Ale Asylum Bedlam but with more texture and fizz. Improves when breathes a bit and isn't stone cold. Could work a bit on the mouth feel to smooth the edges. but quite
good, enjoyable, distinctive beer. Will get again.

Not much going on here. Too much of a gusher. Feels thin.

12 oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. My first beer from Ten Ninety Brewing Co., out of Zion, Illinois. Acquired the six pack of this stuff from the local beer store.

Poured into a clear balloon snifter.

A - Not a gusher, as others have stated, but you can tell the beer was very heavily carbonated. Pours a semi-clear brassy orange body with lots of dark sediment in the glass, lots of carbonation bubbles, and over three fingers of soft foamy off-white head. Some big bubbly lacing. Looks alright for what it is.

S - The aroma is definitely not what I was expecting, especially considering the use of five different hop varieties. More musty, crisp, and yeasty above all else. Very light herbal / floral alcohol fumes noticeable.

T - Taste follows the nose. Not particularly hoppy, to my disappointment. Bready and malty, with some minor floral / herbal alcohol notes. Not terribly complex or intricate, but its not offensive. Not bitter, resinous, or piney.

M - The feel is a bit heavily carbonated, but since this is my first beer from this brewery, I can't say if this is a usual thing. Either way, it is crisp and easy drinking with a moderate 6.30% abv.

Overall, a very boring average representation of the style from Ten Ninety, but I am very interested in trying, more from these guys.

Picked up a 6 pack in Chicago last weekend. OK flavor for an IPA but all of the bottles were gushers, so, I only got about a half glass out of each. Bought them cold from the cooler at Printers Row Wine Shop where they seemed to be well cared for, so, I'm not sure where the problem originated.
