Had with a braised chicken poboy. Is fantasmic a word? It made their porter look like chopped lover. I know my new beer at the Second Line. Go get one. Blew my mind. The beer itself has a big flavor that doesn't overpower itself. Well balanced. Will definitely get again!

Had a pint at a local restaurant. The pour was clear with an amber red orange color. Nice lacing on the head lasted about 3/4 of the drink. The smell was malt and nutty with some sweetness and a hint of toast.
The taste was great, definitely sweet and malty with some toasted grain flavors and a slight caramel vanilla. The beer was light in the mouth. Overall a good beer, great flavor

This is a great beer. Diacetyl is a tad high for the style, but it works. I actually like it better than a purist ESB. The high diacetyl also makes it blend well with sours (if you blend). This esb makes a great 50/50 blend with Dogfish Head's Festina Peche (peach berlinerweisse) - like a tart, buttery peach cobbler.
