On tap at Belly in Santa Rosa. Rich smell, malty and hoppy. It was very smooth despite the 10% abv. One of the best reds I've ever had. It was semi-clear, bold red color.

It went terrifically with pulled pork sliders. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. (255 characters)

Pours a murky dark reddish-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy patches of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, earth, caramel, toffee, citrus zest, and herbal hop aromas. Taste is much the same with caramel, citrus zest, herbal hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with a nice mixture of caramel, citrus zest, and herbal hop .

bomber into a snifter.

pours a deep dark red and is fairly flat. very small head. the smell is definitely big on the hops..but it has a good amount of malt presence too. the taste is just okay. its not that sweet or too bitter but the flavor profile is just average. big on pine. not that drinkable as the ABV is too apparent. higher body with low carbonation.

overall just an okay beer. id pass in the future (412 characters)
