We're quite fond of the Gose style, a traditional German sour beer that blends the subtle tartness of a Berliner weisse with the addition of kettle salts and coriander. We took it a step further and infused it with snozzberries... well what we think they might taste like, anyway.

22 oz. bottle poured into a taster. Gose with tropical fruit.
Appearance - Flat hazy orange body. A couple floaties.
Smell - Tropical fruits. Passion fruit is strong. A little lemony. Smells very nice.
Taste - Much more lemon and grain. Minimal saltiness. Tropical fruits are less intense than the aroma, but still present. Sour, but not as intense as other Buddha Berliners.
Mouthfeel - Light and crisp. Low carbonation. Drinkable.
Overall - Quite refreshing and flavorful. I was afraid it would taste like a Buddha berliner, but it has avoided the pitfalls from which they suffer.

a very good gose, the sea salt comes right through, and the passion fruit flavor in this is bold and fresh and delicious, but not overpowering of the very light and drinkable base beer. obviously snozzberries are not a real thing, and im not sure if there are other fruits in here, actual berries or whatnot, but there is undoubtedly passion fruit in here, and its such a perfect match for this style, being a bit naturally tart itself. i also get a lot of coriander in this one, well spiced, slightly toasted, fresh, highly compatible with the fruit, and interesting with the acidity. i rarely notice it this much in a gose, and i appreciate the stronger presence of it here. carbonation is a little light, but the tang and the salt make it refreshing even without it. the lactic acidity here is super clean, but this is not a real sour beer, definitely brewed to be consumed in buckets, not snifters, which is not common enough in sour beer, that part is dialed in. one of the better flavored goses i have had lately, highly recommended!

On tap at EBF.
This one pours a hazy and almost radioactive yellow color, with a small head and just a bit of lacing.
Smells just absurd- I have no idea what snozzberry actually should smell like, or what fruits they actually used- but I can guess its passion fruit. There's also some orange tang and lemon candy on the nose, and a good amount of salt.
This is super ridiculous. There's so much sweet and sour fruit flavor here- invokes the spirit of Willy Wonka for sure. There's sour passion fruit and lemon candy, with some guava as well. The finish is very salty, and quite sour.
This has a crisp and acidic mouthfeel, with a good level of carbonation.
This is one of Funky Buddha's best beers for sure.

Pours a hazy and slightly orange hued golden yellow with a thin ring of white foam on the edge of the glass.
Mildly stinging acidic fruity notes of raspberry, mango, passion fruit, and stone fruits pummel the nostrils.
The flavor is a medley of fruit flavors namely peach/apricot, mango, and raspberry and the bacteria lends a bit of acidic tartness. A breath of minerality and a touch of salt are noticeable after the swallow.
Light-bodied, medium-high carbonation, acidic, minerally, tart, and refreshing.
Overall, had this on tap at the brewery and I'm glad I did, a beautifully refreshing and tasty beer.

Appearance: Arrives and the bar with a cloudy honey color and just a wisp of a head that disappears in a flash; limited lacing action.
Smell: Apricot, mango and passion fruit, with a tart, wheat bread edge; a hint of salt, too
Taste: Tart fruit forward, with the passion fruit bringing its unique character and blending in with the more familiar apricot and mango tones; the sourness builds through the middle and is underpinned by a hint of banana; after the swallow, the salt arises to join the sour tones
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with a spritzy carbonation (that was a surprise given the appearance)
Overall: Glad to see this one was not retired as it has a lot of unique elements that make it worth seeking out; maybe they will bottle it again, too
