Very delicious beer.
Pours a dark beer. Forms very little foam, some bubbles. Smell is a bit faint and hard to catch. Taste is amazing. Has vanilla, coconut, chocolate, and is overall sweet. It is a syrupy beer, and makes you very sticky. Definitively worth trying it.

On tap at Funky Buddha. Served in a wine glass.
Appearance - Dark in here, but it pours black with a nice head. Khaki head. Collar of foam.
Smell - Coffee and coconut in equal portions. Something sweet resembling chocolate. Maybe that's the white chocolate. Vanilla?
Taste - Very intense coffee. Much more intense than the nose. Coconut also secondary. Coffee lends a bitterness that is eased by vanilla and chocolate. Lingering vanilla flavor in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Bitterness makes it less drinkable than its more popular sister beer, but still great flavor for the body.
Overall - Tough not to compare it to Maple Bacon, but it's not up to that level. Maple makes the difference. Coconut is the highlight of this beer.

1L growler courtesy of buddhabelly. Served into a HF wine glass at 40F.
reviewed with the old scoring system.
A: 4.75. dark brown body with 1.5" mocha head that is smooth and full. Fine carbonation with minor lacing on the glass. Gentle swirling reinvigorates about half of the head.
S: 4.75 Coconut. Cracking the growler, you can smell this 4-5 feet away easily. Amazing rich chocolate, coffee and caramel notes. No hint of hops or malt. One of the bet smelling beers I've ever had the privilege to taste.
T: 4.75 Just like the smell. Wafting tones of roasted coffee, fresh coconut and chocolate. Clean with no lingering aftertaste aside from coconut...which is fantastic. Like a liquid Mounds candy bar. Slightly acidic, but otherwise amazingly well balanced.
M: 4.50 A touch heavy. Slightly oily, but still pleasant. Carbonation is correct, but the nature of adjuncts in this beer will always leave a bit or a rough finish.
O: 4.75 One of the most interesting beers I've tried, but Funky Buddha aspires to just that. Glad my wife was here to share as more than a glass may be too much flavor, but this is definitely worth seeking out.
