Arrives superbly dark brown with a finger high light tan head. Retention is OK, lacing is scant and scattered.
Smell is toasted malt, cocoa, coffee and cardboard. Balance is good.
Target is more of the same, heavily toasted malts, coffee, cardboard and baking chocolate, I.e., bitter chocolate. A hint of caramel finishes it off.
Medium bodied, medium effervescence and a hint of warming late in the pint. Reasonably smooth. I'd have to sum it up as a good brew but a far shot from Last Snow.

Pitch black in color with some cream colored head that faded into a very thin collar. Aroma is very roasty, some dark chocolate and a hint coffee. Taste is roasted malt, and an earthiness to it too. Rich, full body and medium carbonation. Definitely one of the better beers from Funky Buddha.

On draft, pours a dark brown with a light brown/tan head.
Smell is roasty; toasted oats, hazelnut with bitter hops and a little malt. Flavor is sweet at first, roasted malt, coffee bitterness and dark chocolate. This paired with the sweetness makes me think of coffee with Splenda in it. The bitterness and crystal malts are not working together well enough on this to make me like it more. It is a little unbalanced.
