Great local location, full on weekends and actively working with the community at the brewery (i.e., local animal shelters). Good beer selection with a number of rotating items in addition to 'staples'.

No food as of yet (changing shortly) however always a food truck or two onsite.

Staff seems thin unless you are at the bar. They are constantly moving around the floor area and outside but as a result tables can get lost in the shuffle.

Had a great time at Funky Buddha. Great beers and a great location. I am from Philly and this is one of if not THE best Brewery visit ever. Thanks, I will be back. Terry R. from Fishtown.

Really love the place! I have driven up from Miami a few times already. Of those visits, i've been when it has been either "empty", with quite a few customers, or nearly packed. All instances have been great. Parking has always been easy, seating is plentiful, and service is friendly and quick.

I've been holding off on rating Funky Buddha because I've been a big fan of the lounge in Boca and the brewery in Oakland Park since they opened. I've had pretty much every beer of significance that has come out of this brewery and I have to say with few exceptions (MBCP, Last Snow and their BA and imperial versions) the beer at the Oakland Park Brewery has gone WAY, WAY, downhill! At first, the beer was inconsistent (sometimes a good batch, sometimes completely off), now the beer is almost always off except for the second anniversary party where everything was stellar! Now, I never order a beer without tasting it first which has saved me from drinking a lot of bad beer. The actual tap room is big and beautiful and usually has a big crowd (that knows little about beer). I'm glad though that there are a lot of newbies there getting into the craft beer scene but they are being duped into thinking that they are drinking good beer. The service is good but strangely I never see the same people behind the bar for more than a month or two (major turnover). I've heard the brewery tour is good and talked to the employee who gives the tour. He said if I go on the tour not to ask any difficult questions (I was asking him earlier about pedio, lacto and brett for souring). Still, with all this being said, FB brewery is a fun place to hang out and I still enjoy getting a beer or two even though it's hard to find two I like. Definitely worth checking out at least once and I highly recommend the release and anniversary parties where you can taste the truly world-class beer that the Funky Buddha Brewery is capable of producing.

Visited last Sunday. A beautiful large space with a great vibe. Really friendly staff with just outstanding service. A really nice tasting menu with there year round and seasonal offerings. The beer was incredible, and I am looking forward to another visit.

Funky Buddha is a must-see if you're into beer. The location and vibe is really cool. The staff/service is friendly and helpful. And obviously the highlight is the amazing, superb quality beer.

A nice and big brewery with lots of space. Cool layout and some lounge areas. I was there during a big event and the place still seemed clean considering. Can't speak to service because it wasn't a normal day but selection was good.

I was there for MBCP 2014 so I didn't get to experience it on a normal day. That's okay with me. A very well run brewery and their beers are very tasty. The game area out back in the warehouse was great. From the art on the walls to the layout, it's a great brewery that others will strive to meet/beat.

I was blown away by this place. Every single beer I tried was amazing. The staff was VERY friendly and knowledgeable about the product. I will be back and will somehow get a growler of the Fire in the Hole!

Nice facility; it is open and spacious but right on the railway tracks so its a quite noisy at times when trains pass, but this isn't often and adds to the atmosphere. Great selection of off-beat brews. These included 7 regulars, 11 limited releases, and 3 guest taps (including 2 from CCB). Some additional taps were not on-line. Growler fills limited to about 7 brews, mostly just their standards.
Friendly service. Fun atmosphere but loud when full. Food truck right out front on occassion. Plenty of free parking.

Very neat place and very large... but still way too many people there on Friday nights. The "special" FB offerings are out-of-the-park, fantastic beers, but in most cases I've found the "go-to" normal beers only slightly above ordinary. All-in-all, this is a MUST visit place, especially if you can time it with a special event. We were there on 3/14 ("Pi Day") and they had tons of awesome fruit offerings.

This brewery is just simply a great place to drink great beer. The tap room is huge and they always have food trucks in the front. They also have different games within the brewery. The beer, though, is excellent and you can't get pretty much any of them outside of the brewery. Funky Buddha has some of the most unique flavored beers that I have ever seen, ranging from their No Crusts brown ale to their Blueberry Cobbler.

Blowing up, doubling in size, peddling the fastest to catch CCB. Huge and pretty open seating, big happy hour crowd, NOT dog-friendly, smooth bottle releases, really tasty beers(Pumpkin Latte Porter), only semi-douche employees because of the South Florida nature.

I went during the week, mid afternoon. Parking wasn't a problem at the time, cannot speak for peak times. Fairly easy to find and access. very modern and spacious inside. Clean, huge bar area, and plenty of seats/tables generally speaking. clean, multiple bathrooms, kid friendly. Spacious secondary inside area at back of complex with adult games, and video games with free unlimited credits - kids loved this. Service was good/attentive, although it wasn't busy at all. Since I went during a quiet time you will need to give this some consideration when planning your own trip. Overall - impressed with the facilities and service. Good merchandise counter. Well done FunkyB, Hope this helps. Cheers.

In just over one year they have managed to make a phenomenal selection of brews. Cool atmosphere and reasonable prices at the brewery. Bottle distro soon!

Stopped in during a 1 day trip to Florida, glad I was within decent driving distance as I have heard great things about this place. First off they get a giant plus for being open 7 days a week noon to 7. Living in Texas this is almost a jaw dropping revelation. In Houston most breweries are open 1 day a week, for 3 hours and they don't sell packaged beer on premise. It's absolutely pitiful. Having said that, dropping by at 2pm on a Friday afternoon was perfect to fit my timeline. Everything was wide open and I was able to talk with the crew and ask questions and enjoy some amazing brews (there were so many to choose!) They let me sample anything I wanted and were very generous all around. I played bocce ball and hung out for 2 hours and it was a blast. They only thing I might be able to put in the negative column (and this is really just me) is I really wanted to be able to take some bottled beer home! I know this isn't really their thing and of course that is their prerogative to only do special releases and that is cool. I asked if they had anything bottled I could buy and they were even nice enough to go see if they had their barley wine still available for me, but alas I left empty handed and extremely happy I was able to check this place out. If you get a chance to go, do not hesitate.

Great place! Maybe the only brewery with TV screens and sports playing. Yes, in Florida we have lots of sports teams and this one is probably the only one with sports playing. That to me is a BIG plus.

The pours are priced appropriately too. It is a brewery, for crying out loud. There is no distributor trying to cash in. The selection is great, always an IPA, a heffeweizen, an ale, a brown, a stout or porter, and most of the time, very good beer. On special occasions, like limited releases and event, very good beer is poured, and this is the place to be.

Then again, sometimes the beer is off the mark. Batches taste different, some are a little insipid, but when they are on point, it is sublime.

Must stop for unique Florida funk, nationwide and all.

Great place to spend an afternoon. Awesome beer selection. Although the brewery does not have a kitchen, the food truck outside always has interesting offerings. I would recommend taking the tour as well -- only takes 30 minutes or so, and it's very informative. Adrian is an excellent tour guide, and you get to try samples along the way. Well worth the trip!

The perfect brewery; world class brews, spacious taproom and great outdoor seating, tons of parking, special growler Tuesdays, great staff who does a great job managing large crowds, and great planning and execution of special events. True Beervana!!!

Visited the FB Brewery in Oakland Park 5/21/2014.

A- very nice and low key atmosphere in a fairly new tap room area that is expansive with a lot of space and seating. There is also outdoor seating in the area right outside of the entrance which was very nice on a warm Florida evening.

Q- excellent quality of the establishment which is clean, with the draft menu being available on flat screen TVs. And the beer is of course excellent.

S- while a bit busy, it was not difficult to get the bartender's attention for service which was quick and prompt. I saw an employee bring out a watering bowl for a patron's dog sitting outside which was very nice.

SL- Last Snow and More Moro were on tap which was fantastic. All their year rounds are available and some were also available for growler fills. Awesome!

Great place! Worth the drive to Oakland Park... Some awesome beers! Tours are ok, not that very much informative or technical, but you sure get lots of free beer and maybe a peek of what's coming up next on the lineup!
The full-size bocce ball court is definitely a plus!

Love this place and i would live there if I could. Only knock for me is not enough staff to float around to refill my glass but other than that its perfect, atmosphere and Ryan and Co. Are great ambassadors to craft beer, and i recommend anyone in the south Florida area to stop in for a pint!

Had to come over to Ft. Lauderdale for some business. Decided to come a day early and check this place out. And was very pleased I did so.

For starters it is fairly easy to get to from either 595 or the Dixie Highway. It was Sunday afternoon so parking was plentiful, but I've been told Fridays and Saturdays can get full.

Very large and spacious inside with a very long bar and plenty of seating. Tastefully appointed, they steered away from a sports bar type theme and stuck to a more simple décor. Game area for bocce, fooz and cornhole in back by brewery.

Small crowd even for a Sunday afternoon, but everyone was friendly and having a great time. Staff was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Bartender let me try several small samples of beer on top of what I was drinking.

Tour was informative and a lot of fun, complete with numerous chances to sample even more beer throughout.

Tap selection was moderate in size, but everything I tried was excellent. They also had a handful of guest taps featuring Cigar City and Teqesta. All in all a well rounded selection with something for just about all tastes, even some eclectic ones. My favorites were the Nib Smuggler and the Nitro Espresso Porter. Growler fills of their regular offerings available.

Overall a very pleasant experience, would highly recommend to anyone who's going to be in the area. Can't wait to go back myself.

Made the trip here with a friend while visiting Miami.

A - Got here in the afternoon so it was quiet. But you can see the bocce ball and jenga sets so this is a place to hang with friends and play games while drinking beer.

Q - We got a flight which was perfect. Came out on a board with each offering written in chalk. I noticed varied glassware for the pours. Place is legit.

Serv: In a word... awesome! We got here and met one of the owners who thanked us for coming from NY and spoke about the beer and the building. We were able to get on a brewery tour even though they only do those on weekends. On top of that, we met the brewmaster and were able to ask questions. Really top notch and a highlight of my vacation.

Sel - Maybe no MBCP but with options like No Crusts, the mocha porter, and some Berliner Weisse there were great options. Every one was at least good if no incredible. Not to get too gushy but how much better could stuff like Last Snow be if these beers were *this* good? Something for everyone.

F - They only have food trucks which would have arrived later.

V - Reasonable pours, my flight of 4/4oz was $9. I've been hit harder than that. Most pours were about $6.

I really hope the best for these folks who have the passion for great beer and offer their customers many great options. In talking there is a plan to get a bottling line going and I'd put Buddha offerings high on my wish list.

Had a great Biergarten vibe. Very conducive to costumer interaction. Train tracks right next to the Oakland Park taproom which sucked as it shook the entire place when a train went roaring past. We went when Last Snow and No Crusts was on tap which blew our minds. Fantastic brewery, great beers, someone needs to derail the trains from hell lol.

Overall, a great place to visit if you are in the area, the owner and staff are very passionate about their beers. As it's a new brewery they were packed when we went in May, so it was hard to actually talk for a prolonged period to the owner or staff, but they did a great job all things considered. They also have a shuttle deal with a nearby hotel which is awesome.
