This beer is not that bad, the smell is not that strong but it is a good smell. It has a nice gloden color to it. It does not have a overwhelming taste to it like some beers have. It also does not have an after taste like some beers have which I like. It also does not make you feel full like some beers do.

P- Wegmans in Mechanicsburg, PA

A- Golden yellow color with a nice 2 finger head that is fluffy but dissipates quickly. A so-so lacing on the pint, nothing much else.

S- pine hops dominate with hints of pine and lemon zest.

F- the pine hops are dominant in the beers. it is like eating the pine needles off the pine tree. very strong. the lemon zest comes out a lil more in the flavor compared to the nose.

M- crisp smooth and refreshing. the hops overdominate just a tad but I wont complain. its like drinking a hop dipped in beer almost.

O- not a great IPA but definitely above average. It was interesting cause towards the tail end I caught sweet malts which increases my grade a tad.

A: The beer is relatively clear yellowish amber in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high beige head that died down leaving delicate webs of lacing on the surface, a collar around the edge, and some lacing running down the sides.
S: Moderate aromas of citrusy hops—oranges and grapefruits stand out in particular—are present in the nose along with notes of underlying caramel malts.
T: The taste follows the smell, having flavors of citrusy hops along with notes of hints of caramel malts. The hops contribute a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels a bit shy of being medium-bodied on the palate and is crisp with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and seems to be very fresh because the citrusy hop flavors are very "bright" and really enliven the beer. It is perfectly sessionable.

Poured a light copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured a light malt and peppery hop.

The taste consisted of the same peppery hop with a subtle malt base.

The mouthfeel was toward the lighter side of the style.

Overall a pretty decent session ale.

Pours crystal clear gold color with a foamy 1 finger white head that was full of very tiny bubbles and faded slowly, leaving decent sticky lacing coating the sides, rings as it goes down and a layer on top.

Smells of grapefruit, citrus hops, lemon zest, herbs , wheat bread, caramel and earthy notes like grass or hay; the citrus notes are the strongest with a fruity aroma that was more malty than hoppy sweet.

Tastes more malty and actually grainy, with cracker and toasted grains leading the way, followed by a citrus hop bitterness that had some grapefruit notes, herbs and mild spices. The nose was more IPA than the flavor, as there was no hop punch in the palate. English style IPA would be a stretch, this tasted like a pale ale.

Mouthfeel is smooth and on the creamy side, with a medium body, mild carbonation and a toasted grain finish that is slightly bitter with a little citrus hop fruity sweetness; very mild sweetness in the finish, it’s more roasted grains.

This is either a misclassified beer or a weak IPA, but it is way off course to be an anytime IPA. I’d stick to the classic IPA’s available over this anytime, especially since Stone, Lagunitas or Dogfish Head are readily available and blow this away taste-wise.

Not a bad session IPA. Hoppy enough to be interesting and rich enough so it is not a weak watery drink. If this beer was 6 or 7% abv. I would have said "Whats the point, there are better IPAs out there?"

However at 4.6%, this would be fine to order with food at a restaurant, get a couple of pitchers with friends or as a thirst quencher on a hot day.

A decent enough session beer.

Bottle from Ayotte's
Pours a brilliantly clear medium golden color with a huge bubbly white head that last forever and sticks lots of lace on the way down. Earthy citrus and mineral water backed up by a bit of bready caramel. The flavor is quite malty with a solid toffee melanoid thing going on. Earthy citrus hop flavor counters but never shows enough to call this beer an IPA. Light to moderate lingering hop bitterness in the finish. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. This is an odd little beer. Reminds me more of a mild or an English bitter than an IPA. Easy to drink and no real flaws, I guess its OK, but doesn't wow me.

On tap at The Sitting Duck Restaurant, West Long Branch, NJ

Bought to the table in a chilled pint glass, so waited for it to warm up just a tad. Looked a vey pale yellow, with a decent white head, carboation was a bit on the week side.

Was a faint wiff of hops on the nose, not much else.

Hmmm. while not an particularly unpleasant taste, the hops were only a very small part of what seemed to be a very grainy beer. Perhas I'm spoiled by top notch IPA's, but this did not seem like an IPA at all, more of a pale ale, and not a great one at that.

Mouth was a bit on the thin side as well.

Overall, a disappointing brew. Didn't even finish it, not because it wwas "bad", just very uninspired. The Sitting Duck had 20 beers on tap, but other than a couple of Sam Adams, this was the only real craft option.

Pours a deep gold producing 2 fingers of frothy, white, somewhat lived, head that leaves streaks & motes of lace. Aroma is caramel malt, floral, grapefruit & pine hop notes. Taste is floral, grapefruit, orange & pineapple; caramel malt sweetness is definitely in the backseat & is heaviest in the finish but transitions to a bitter, becoming increasingly bitter & astringent in the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation, prickly & drawing.

This beer is exactly what the brewer intended it to be. A very drinkable I.P.A., for a very reasonable price. No standout characteristics here, but light enough to have a "couple" and not get filled up. Basic and unpretentious, but still complex enough to enjoy the taste.

a let down for me, especially for a vermont brewer, these guys all seem to have hops so well dialed, but this was not a great showing. session ipa, drinks more like a light pale ale, lacking any real defining hop characteristics, but being easy drinking enough and rather refreshing. its clear and light copper in color, not much head going on, and really not much aroma either. just a faint hop bitterness and floral sweetness to the nose, with a little more malt richness than it needs. the flavor is even less exciting than the nose, it lacks the kind of hops required to make a beer an ipa, its just real underwhelming and frankly under flavored. no off flavors at all, and the mouthfeel is fine, with a nice sudsy texture and glowing finish, but i just need a lot more hop flavor in my ipa. hopefully their other beers are a little more exciting than this one, totally forgettable unfortunately.

Poured from a growler into a pint glass , everything you want to see in a beer , nice head , lacing is there for sure and nice carbonation

The smell is surprising after reading the reviews on this brew I wasn't expecting anything great , but it is very nice smelling

The mouth is where you want it to be , not to heave , the carbonation makes it super refresthing

I'm not getting prior reviews of this beer , for a session IPA this is better than All Day and GO TO , a lot more flavor than either of those by far , others were trying to compare it to regular IPA's , just can not do that really

Overall I will be picking up another growler of this as soon as I can , a great session IPA
