This beer is as bad as the team that it represents. Initially, I thought it smelled quite bland and inoffensive, but upon the first sip, I was overcome with a taste that I could only compare to a malty version of the sweat from Matt Martins pads.

This is one I have had many times while visiting family on the island but somehow never reviewed. The color is a healthy copper without much of a head. Nose is barely there.
The flavor is marked by biscuit notes, floral hops with a touch of pepper, and a dry, nutty character. Maltier and darker than most of the style. Kind of a hard ranking, since I find this clean and drinkable, but a bit off style.

Bought a 6 pack of cans - 9/27/2016 on bottom of can (drank them middle of December, 2016). Biggest complaint, the label on the can had a thick seam right where your mouth goes. Was very annoying. Seemed like a very low quality canning process.
Beer was average at best, nothing special about it. Just a pilsner, tasted a bit like an old can of Budweiser.

Pours a deep amber color with a one inch beige head that left a little lacing. Smells and tastes of lightly roasted malts, a slight nuttiness, floral notes and a hint of hops and spice. Quite malty for a pilsner, almost more of a lager. Well carbonated, goes down quite smoothly.

12 oz can with 6/22/16 on the bottom, so about 3 1/2 months in the can..not super fresh, but not terrible.
Pours hazed medium amber, with a lasting medium khaki cap, and leaving some moderate bits and stands of lacing on the glass.
Nutty, malty nose
Tasty brew, again I get some nuttyness and maple malts, hops on the back end to dry things up enough.
Nothing amazing, but this is a respectable sessioner on the malty side of the spectrum. Worth a try, nice fall beer and probably a good choice to try out some newbies with. Also likely would go great with some BBQ chicken with all the fixins.
