Shared bottle at the RBWG-2015.
Body is a bit too light.
Sweet and light and not very smokey, although there's smoke in the aroma.
Lingering pleasant aftertaste.

22oz bottle poured into a teku. Small frothy head disappears quickly. Bose has some Belgian notes along with cola. Taste/aftertaste absolutely reminds me of (a flat) Jack and Coke. Not too heavy, a nice drinker that could be great with some refinement.

This was available at the bar (poured from a 22oz bottle) as of Memorial Day Weekend, 2015. Basically uncarbonated but with a sweet ans slightly cask flavor. Easy to drink and enjoy, but I'd probably try something else on my next visit to Rockaway.

Poured from a 22oz bottle purchased at the brewery. Light brown color with small head that dissapates quickly. Little to no carbonation. Sweet mouthfeel but not sticky. Tastes a bit watery. Somewhat true to the Scotish style. Label does not have a date or any indication that this beer was aged in bourbon. Not much taste of bourbon so I don't know if it was.

Tawny chestnut with sandstone film.
Bits of balsamic, oak (including vanilla) and red berries on the nose.
Rye bread, gentle red jam, slight whiskey hit, a bit of salted caramel, and a sandalwood end.
Spiced apple finish and clean linger.
Medium, dead smooth, some chew.
Mellow and easy; no sharp edges. Whiskey doesn’t overwhelm; barrel goes hand in glove with this style. So… tranquil.
